This is a cute thread! I'm definitely going to try out some of these myself, in particular the hair band which I can see myself using. The mini bags are so cool. You should consider selling them! I would love to have some of those like the mini Lindy and the mini Kelly! The scarf DIYs are so amazing too! Sorry I can't quote all of you because I lost track of the contributors after going through all the pages
Here's my little contribution. Not much of a DIY but I basically used the small leather ornament that came with my petit h purchase with the twilly to decorate my bag. Hope u will like it!

I just did a "do-it-myself" home dye job with indigo on a Tigre Royal 90 silk. The original color was pink, gold, and white. It was an old scarf with stains, pulls, and a hole, so I got it at a very low price. I purchased it specifically for this "experiment", and didn't really care if it didn't turn out well, but I think it looks pretty good.

Just catching up on this thread. What you did to give the scarves a new life is great. I'm an old vintage Point d' Orgue that I was going to let go. Can you tell me what type of dye works best on silk ? TIA.
Does this count?
Thanks for the compliment!! I've only done this one scarf. I don't like chemicals, so I used pre-reduced indigo, and rinsed with vinegar. I ordered it online from Dharma Trading. It dissolves in a bucket of water and you just dip the scarf in. The longer you leave it in, the darker it will be. I rinsed like crazy with cold water and white vinegar.
I can't say for sure if this is the best way, but it worked for me and I'm very happy with the results.
Have you done any grey dip-dyes? Would love to try with an old Tigre royal. What dye do you use? Thanks! My home made dip dye collection....

A few members have done this and shared it here.I applaud the creativeness, but boy oh boy, I would never even dream of cutting into a scarf. However, a friend of mine recently asked me what to do with a scarf that had some rather large stains that would not come out. She was devastated, of course. I recommended trying to dip-dye it. After all, Hermès dot it themselves.

Has anyone tried?? I think that is a brilliant idea for stained scarves. View attachment 4055040
