ClassicTwist-Here is the version without the rubberband that I used to make mine & I hope this helps.

1)Grab 2 really long pieces of ribbon.

2)Make a knot in the middle.

3)Again another knot on the existing knot.

4)Start rolling the ribbon like a piece of yarn a little at a time on each ribbon end.

5)Then when it is the size you like make a tight knot.

6)Make two.

7)Tie both to each other & place them around the handle of your bag!I hope this helped to explain myself a little better.
