How are you finding the Wonder Pore line? I have heard great reviews on the toner. Which brand toners have you tried? Toners are supposed to be effective in balancing your skin and making the following products more effective -apparently. I find Skinfood's toners quite gentle especially Cucumber and Lettuce (:

It's OK nothing special really, I have the moisturizer I like it. But I use the baking powder as my cleanser this I can say very good I'm still using it. I don't use toners so I tend to skip that part. I'm still in the works of looking for moisturiser that will work for my problem mainly removing acne scars I was told here to try the white moistfull moisturiser this will be next after I finish the wonder pore moisturiser.

I love korean makeup/skincare. They are innovative, have nice packagins and the affordable products usually deliver a good result for your money.

I have a few favorites:
Hera uv mist cushion - such a nice cushion, match my skintone nicely and brighten up the face and give you that korean actress like dewy and bright skin. If you are not light on the hand it will look cakey though
Innisfree colour glow lipstick - very creamy and glides on the lips smoothly, great colour payoff and it stains, i recommend the shade maple syrup, a classy berry red
It's skin ampoule the yellow one - Feels nice on the skin and actually makes the face brighter
Innisfree green tea deep cream my favorite moisturiser, make the face feel soft and moisturised without a sticky feel or an oliy looking face in the morning

I love Korean makeup/skincare for the same reasons too!

I have heard so much great stuff about the Hera UV Mist Cushion so I think I will try it out (: I have been wanting to try a cushion compact since they have taken off recently.
I have seen the It's Skin ampoules for sale alot and haven't read many reviews on them so I was a bit unsure.
I need a lip colour and Innisfree seem to have a lot of nice ones. I don't know if I want a lipstick or a gloss stick yet though?
I want to try Innisfree's Green Tea Deep Seed Cream~ I have heard great reviews of this also and have been wanting to try it since Winter and heating has been drying my skin somewhat. I have also been looking at their Wine Jelly Night Mask and am interested in that as well.

I went to The Face Shop store for the first time in Sydney last week and it was fun looking at all the stuff in person-there was so many products! I couldn't decide what to buy nor what was effective and had good reviews so I only bought a nail polish top coat and the Cherry Blossom Clear Hair Mist - which is amazing! It makes your hair smell super nice and shiny even if it looks a bit dull or oily! Better than the dry shampoos I have tried. I know before next time I will research so I know what to buy haha!

Bumping this thread back since I came back a from a vacation to the mothership of Korean makeup/skincare, Seoul :)) Did some substantial damage to my wallet  I'm all set for the rest of the year, and maybe even next year

Hi everyone can someone explain to me what is EMULSION for, I have encountered this in Korean products but do not really know what it's for, is it a moisturiser? And ESSENCE is this the equivalent of SERUM? If anyone care to explain for me I will be happy. Thanks!

Emulsion is basically a light moisturiser, which is all that is usually needed by oily/combination skin types. Dry skin types usually follow up with a cream (heavier moisturiser).

Typical (simplified) combination/oily skin routine:
Serum, toner (aka water), emulsion (sometimes called lotion)

Typical dry skin routine:
Serum, toner, emulsion, cream

Essence and serum refer to the same thing :smile1:

Interesting.. toner before serum?

Western toners are designed to provide extra cleansing, whereas Asian toners are almost like a base for hydration - they prep your skin for what's about to follow, which is why they're applied after your serum.

I've always found Western toners redundant, as I often use two cleansers (oil for makeup, foam for leftover residue) for a thorough clean, so by the time I get to the (Western) toner there's nothing left to remove, if that makes sense :p

Storm spirit can you enumerate in chronological order the proper way to put Korean skin care. I'm sure this will be helpful for people just starting their Korean skin care like me!

The general 'rule', as such, or method with Korean skincare products/routines is to start with the lightest product (example the toner) to the heaviest (cream) so they all absorb over eachother and don't block the others from getting absorbed if it is heavier than the other product for example. Toner is also good to start off with because they prepare the skin and balance PH to asorb the products better.
Hope this helps - from experience and reading Korean beauty blogs, forums, videos and apps and also international ones.
I reccomend looking at Youtubers like 'Bambi Girl' and 'Hanbyul' and searching '스킨케어' (skincare in Korean) to find popular beauty bloggers videos on Youtube and their techniques and reccomendations and Insite TV have some interesting videos. Hope this helps and have fun..remember lightest to heaviest haha
P.S. if you want the actual products in order I can post but I didn't know if you wanted to work it out. (:

Oh My!! I am so jealous haha!! I am really interested to try some of those products. You seem to have gotten some really great products 😍
Don't worry the damage is worth it in my opinion haha.
I would be the same if confronted with such great products as temptations. I am sure you will have a great time with them- have fun and looks like you had a great trip 😄

The way it was suggested to me when I was using History of Whoo
(summer)was:

cleanse (morning) & in the evening a double cleanse
toner
essence
serum
moisturizer

& was also told to start with the lightest product & graduate to the heaviest

If I have been using it wrong, my skin did not suffer.. LOL
