This happened to me more than once at one store I shop at which is not close to me. I mean the beepers never went off.
It was very easy to remove the tag with a plier holding the inside metal and hitting it with a hammer. It took less than a minute to get the tag off. I had to do it for about 6 garmets already. They are not as hard to get off as one would think.
