UGGs sizing thread!

Thanks so much! I must be odd because they recommend sizing down if you're a half size (I'm 8 1/2), but I find I like the 9's better on me... But I usually wear socks..
Do you all wear the smaller whole size for your feet? And do you usually wear socks with yours?
I'm so excited to get a Bailey button!

They recommend sizing down on the classic short and talls, too, though. So whatever size you are comfortable in those, whether it is up or down or spot on with your regular shoes size, will work for the Baileys, too.

I am unusual in that I go down two full sizes in Uggs. I normally wear a 9, and rarely an 8-1/2. But in Uggs the 8's are big enough that they buckle in the toes and look odd. The 7's fit like a dream. I have three pairs now, all in size 7. I tried on the cardis once and I wore an 8 in those, though.

How do these compare to the classics? I wear a 6 in classics, ordered the kensingtons, cannot even get my foot in them.. I almost feel like I should order 2 sizes up, but I'm a 6.5 I can't imagine I would need an 8. I would try them on in my local Nordstrom store but they are sold out. Any input would be appreciated :)

bump! Just a quick question about buying UGGs in Big Kids size. I'm a 6.5 -7 normally and have a women's classic tall in sz 6 and Dakota in 7. What does that translate to Big Kids size? a 5 or 6? Also Big Kids and Kids are different, right?

Toddler sizes are different, and they go up through size 12 or 13 usually. But any distinction between kids and big kids is arbitrary because children's sizes go from 1 on up through men's sizes. This is why there is the 1-1/2 to 2 size difference between children's sizes and women's sizes - because children's sizes are the same as smaller men's sizes. If you wear a women's 6 in a classic, you would probably wear a children's 4, although I'd try on a 4 and a 5 just to be sure and so you know in the future.

I wear a women's 7 in classic Uggs and I wear a children's 5. But the size difference can be closer to 1-1/2, so some people prefer to go a half size up instead of down and would choose a 6. It is hard to know until you try them. Oh, and the shafts tend to be narrower and slightly shorter, too.

Hi,
I was going to post a new thread, but I don't think I'm allowed since I just signed up (sorry if this is in the wrong place!). I really wanted some of the hot pink uggs (not the raspberry rose ones, the limited edition magenta ones), and everyone is sold out except sheepskinshoes.com. They have them for $123.50. They're expensive enough to make me believe that it's a legit site, but cheap enough to make me suspicious. They only have one pair left in my size, so I'm wondering if anyone has bought any off of sites like these? Is it a scam? Thanks! I really want to go ahead and get them before they're sold out, but I'm afraid of giving my credit card info if it's a scam. Ahhhh!

I purchased from them a year ago and they do sell real uggs! Also, i don't believe they charged me for shipping or tax.

I don't have any personal experience with them. I know how it feels to be wary of giving your information to an unknown site. However, they are listed on the Uggs official list of online retailers. That's a plus, at least. And if you do buy, pay with a credit card, so you'll have somewhere to turn if something does go wrong. :) FYI, here is the list from Ugg.

I just bought a pair of kensingtons, I normally wear a size 9, but all they had left was a big kids size 6 which is comparable to womens 8, and they fit perfectly, and the kids kensingtons have a zipper on the side so you dont have to squish your feet in them, I would definitely recommend trying on kids, they are cheaper, easy to get on, and these boots are super comfy!

Does anyone know how the slippers fit, I would like to buy the Cozy. I take an 8 in the ugg classic boots and a 9.5 in a running shoe. So I sized down for the boots, should I order the 8 or 9 in the slipper? TIA.

If I wear an 8 in Uggs (8.5-9 in other shoes), would the big kid 6 work? I've heard mixed reviews, but don't have a store to try them. So does anyone have both the women's 8 and kids 6 that can compare? TIA :)

Yes, you could definitely fit into them. However, I tried them on and they just didn't really look right. The kids' Uggs are made smaller than the adult ones, even though an adult could technically fit into the kids' sizes. Since I'm not exactly petite (I'm 5'6"), it looked a bit off. However, if you are petite and/or you just the kids' line, go for it! :smile1:
