I've had my black bucket for almost a year, just recently conditioned (and I did remove the toe to condition it separately), and I've noticed how super soft the tie has gotten. It's actually really easy to tie now, and I have to say, as much as I love these other solutions, I'm still a sucker for the look of the original MG bow

Here is a new knot I tried. Its the chinese knot with only the first square..
Would recommend you to tie the bag a little loose as tying and untying the knot is a pain!

I love that knot. Great idea. And you're right I like the tie knot because I can slide it open and shut easily without untying. Hope yours brings you the luck you need to get a bag tomorrow.
