Corundogs:

I will be back in 9 weeks to run the NYC Marathon, so I will definitely be visiting that store again (got to go visit my bag;) ) and hope to make it to the Time Warner Center.store as well I've been thinking back, from the moment I walked in the door for little details. I do remember they had a decent "baby" section, but then my memory gets a little clouded with pictures of that $4500 crocodile bag dancing in my mind! Other people might not think its that great, but I'm in LOVE! The SA specifically said that most stores wouldn't get that bag, but I'll keep dreaming. Oh, and they had the leather jacket (memory is failing me on the exact name) and they had a good selection of men's stuff. I joked with my mom that my dad needs a new wallet (to replace the Coach one I got him about 5 years ago). If I remember anything else, I'll definitely let you know. :smile1:

i've seen these in the CBSR. but it's not available to order yet...so i guess if you want to pay more...

i think one of jessica simpson's new bag resembles the suede one...

personally i am waiting for the legacy bags!

No outlets near me or Coach stores!! Closest is a 3 to 4 hour drive! YIKES

I do not like the patchwork at ALL!! :wtf: I can't wait for the new catalog!! I am dying to see what is new and what my new quest will be:nuts:

Well, I love the suede, but if it's retailing for about what the BIN price is, I can forget about that (darn mortgage and bills!). Not crazy about the patchwork at all - I really liked last year's holiday patchwork better (in fact, that was in part what started me on my current Coach obsession)!

Can't wait to see some new things though!

There are versions of that patchwork bag in the Macy's on Washington Street in Boston, MA. I was there over Labor Day weekend and thought that they totally looked fake to me. They look a little on the cheap side but thought it was weird that there was something that I hadn't seen in the store yet or on the Coach website. I thought maybe they were old and would be on sale but no such luck.

The patchwork gallery tote was at Macy's in Manhattan this weekend. I'm not crazy about it. They also had the signature stripe in GOLD...it was very pretty. In the shoe department near the coach shoes they had a black signature bag with the striped lining. That was all I saw of the new line. I didn't get into the Madison avenue or time warner center stores - but when I did happen into the store in Soho (where I picked up the Danna pumps and the breast cancer keyfob) and the SA said that none of the stores in Manhattan had any of the new stuff out yet. He also mentioned that even when the new stuff is out - the Soho store carries everything the other Manhattan stores do - they are just smaller stores. He said that many like to go to the other stores because they are physically impressive...but the service was better at the outlying stores because they were less crowed so SAs were more available to assist. Now he could have been saying all that because he wanted me at HIS store...but I didn't even start asking him questions until after he'd pulled aside the stuff I told him I was buying. He did mention that the Soho store had carried some of it in a pilot phase - didn't know Coach did that - but the SA told me that it helps them decide what colors will do better - and that it was a benefit of shopping at the Soho store. That could also be how some bags end up on ebay before any of us have seen them before - if someone got them from a pilot store! It was funny...he also mentioned that a lot of folks come to the Soho store to buy bags from the Soho line. We had a chuckle about that one.

While buying my Eva sunglasses a few months ago, I had a similar experience in the Roosevelt Field Mall store. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the bag, but it was an all black signature hobo that was an in-between size from what Coach usually has. When I asked the SA if it came in any other colors, she said it only came in black and brown because Coach was testing to see how well the bags sold in the store.

Okay, now I totally feel guilty that I live and work in NY and take all of these Coach stores for granted (like the smaller one in the mall right near where I get off the subway in Queens). Ladies, if I am able to, I would be happy to go on scouting missions for you.
