Two 2013 PS1's - vast differences - why?

On top of that - does anyone know if the new differences such as the points listed below, do they also apply to the Pouches?

1. Leather - Lamb vs. Calf
2. Hardware - Lighter vs. Heavier/Sturdier?
3. PS Insignia - Older comes with PS Insignia vs. None with the Newer ones
4. Clasps - Glued on vs. Screwed On
5. Strap - Thick vs. Thinner
