Two 2013 PS1's - vast differences - why?

Why would one ps1 arrive in a black dust bag, have thicker leather, heavier and better quality hardware, signature proenza schouler embossing on all zipper pulls, code under tab is 004.

The other bag arrived in a white dust cover with blue print and a black wide draw string, thinner leather, lighter and less dense hardware, no embossing whatsoever, code under tab is 006.

Why such vast differences?

My guess is the lighter is the re-worked PS13 for the fall season? it also has the new lining and thinner shoulder strap.

Not sure why they changed it but I read PS has done changes to the logo, bag linings, dustbags etc to improve the marketing/public image :wondering

my ps1 in question is the piglet colour. it is gorgeous. but compared to 2013 olive, smoke & peacock, there are big differences. i do like the new lining though. that is about it. :thumbdown:

Sorry I misread the PS1 for PS13.

The changes to the PS1 leather and hw is surprising..

Now for 2013 Piglet - same season, thinner leather, new lining, zero embossing, only "proenza schouler" under the closure flap, thinner shoulder strap:

Peacock is from the spring before they made the changes, so that's why the fall season Piglet is different. The thinner leather and shoulder strap is disappointing. I'm not really a fan of the new logo either, though I can see why they changed it.

Piglet is a pretty pink, are you keeping it?

I dont know I think i have been spoiled with the first season. I just feel let down over the quality factor. The colour is good though. Like Bal 2005 bubblegum :o

Thanks so much for the pictures. A bit of a shame, I too like the older engraving. It's probably just what we're used to.

I can't quite see how much thinner the shoulder strap is. If you get the chance, would you photograph the peacock and piglet straps side by side?

Wow I'm not usually a pale pink girl but I'm loving the Piglet coloured leather!!
Sorry to hear about some of the changes though. . . I don't like the idea of a thinner shoulder strap at all.
