Somehow I don't think it's financial? He made bank on Ellen..the last few years he was an Executive Producer, and made even more. Lots of projects in the works..so I'm not buying that one.

according to this, his net worth was $5 million - hot huge but certainly not destitute....his family should not need donations

I've never seen him on TV but I think it's sad. I know clinical depression is real but if only he could have found a way to get through this it could have been different. Tyler Perry wrote an article on how he attempted suicide twice but fortunately he came out ok.

They would upload dancing videos from time to time.

I didn’t watch Ellen, so don’t remember him from the show, but do remember him from SYTYCD. He was an extraordinarily talented dancer and remember being amazed at his skills during the season he was on. Really sad when people feel there is no other escape and you just never know what people are struggling with. ☹️

Not sure how real or used it is these days but it was "popular" in the late 70's and 80's

Anyways, he must have been in terrible pain.
