Purchased my NF in Nov as a goal/reward thing, and sold my much-used Iena. Well...I just opened this morning and I’m not sure. I’ve been going to work carrying my Speedy B25 in DE (which I adore), madewell work tote & lunch bag. Thought the NF would eliminate me looking like a “bag lady” and work as purse & tote, but I’m already missing the speedy. (I think I like the north-south shapes better in my short frame, and the straps are really stiff.) People rave about this bag so maybe just adjustment, but yikes! Feeling disappointed & too late to return.5F9B5DE5-403E-46C1-958F-B1F843CF80AA.jpeg

Have you tried cinching it in? That may not give you the capacity to carry everything you want, but it would give you the more north-south look that you like. Otherwise, you should carry it for a few days or so to make sure that it will not work for you. It is a great bag. They do hold their value, so your other option is either too consign or sell. The straps will soften somewhat with use.

Give it a little time, and if it‘s still not for you, then I’d sell it. Sometimes bags we like visually, just don’t end up being like we thought once we wear it. Or it ends up not being compatible with our likes and dislikes in a bag. It’s ok. It works for some and not for others. It sounds like you love your speedy. Use what works for you. I wouldn’t force it.

I have a Neverfull GM in ebene and I hate it. I am one of the few that don’t like it! I hate the straps. Too short, too thin, and so uncomfortable! If you aren’t loving it I would sell, since it will be in practically new condition. I am saving mine in hopes my daughter will want it as a school bag. I would t even use it for travel I dislike it so much.

Just by the name of this thread, I can tell you should get rid of it and get what you really want. I do this myself. I want something and either don't like it once I use it or I try to make it work because it is more readily available than what I really want, or cheaper. I find that I'm never settled until I get exactly what I want and love it. If it's not for you, it's not for you. By the way, the Neverfull was my first LV in 2008 and I love it. But I understand when people don't.

Maybe you should give it another try and force yourself into using it a couple of times. When I first got my mono NF, I was in love with the look of the bag, but when I used it for the first two times, it didn’t feel comfy - I thought it would dig too much into my shoulder with the thin straps. However, I continued using the bag, and during the following couple of times I noticed and started to appreciate other advantages that this bag offers such as great storing capacity, room for a laptop, easy access to the items, etc. Now I’m a NF fan and already have several NFs in my collection. So I suggest to try using the bag a couple of items before you decide to sell it - any maybe you’ll acquire a taste for it

Thank you all for great advise. I’ve packed it up with my work & personal items and will give it a go this week. After that, may need to sell. I’m not a fan of keeping things just to keep them, if I’m not going to use them.
For work - do you guys carry your LV’s plus work tote? Is that tacky? Or try to find one that does both?

I’m glad that you’re giving it another try! For work, I only carry my LV - either one of my NFs (currently, my work NFs are Mono, DE and GO Noir) or my Noe (Grande). I pack my laptop, all my other work stuff and my personal items in there and all fits

I generally rotate my bags even for work.

Regarding whether or not this bag at work is ‘tacky’, I would say that this can be interpreted subjectively and you would have to gauge if it is ‘work-appropriate’ for you.

I am a physician and my receptionists, nurses also like to bring their LV, Gucci’s to work. We all share a hearty appreciation of all kinds of handbags lol.

Anyway I do like to use the LV Neverfull as my work tote when it is raining.

I carry a tote to the office, which sometimes has a change of shoes and a catch all in it, my lunch. I also carry my purse. So, two things. It's what works for me and I don't care what people think. Lol! I'm one of those people who has everything with them -- bandaids, safety pins, shout wipes, etc.

Thank you! I didn’t mean to ask if carrying LV to work is tacky, lol! I love my LV’s! I meant is carrying a work tote (for files, agenda, etc..) plus a purse tacky? I’m having a hard time parting ways with my speedy as my everyday bag but also need to carry work necessities, hence why I purchased the NF. I bought them on the same day in Nov and didn’t realize I’d love the speedy so much.
