I know what you mean. I never liked the lock on the Hamiltons because they don't function for anything. Just letting you know that MK DOES have bags with locks on them that are functional and lock the bags. Not all of them are just for "show" . ie; Not long ago, I bought a watch for my husband and was able to hide it quite nicely in there. He does go in my bags from time to time to get one of my cards, etc. I was so glad he couldn't see that watch! Came in real handy. .

I can definitely see how some would benefit from a working lock. I admit to not being a super fan of the decorative ones because they add weight and swing around, i seem to have a tendency to flick my bag about lol

My dh will not go into my bag, even to get something i have said it's in there.. makes him uncomfortable ;)

I really hate how they hang and pull on the soft leather Hamiltons, and is why I prefer the outlet Hamilton without the lock. They are definitely better on the saffiano Hamiltons as they don't tug on the saffiano like they do on the pebbled leather Hamiltons. The lock on Smileys bag is located in a good place that won't pull on the leather. It may swing around a bit, but she can always take it off if it bothers her. I frankly think it is a very nice bag charm that wouldn't bother me at all. I love charms on my bags! I know how to shorten them if they swing too much, by looping the leather strap around, a few more times.

I am not anti bag charm but i could see myself getting a longer lock caught in a cart or knocking myself with it lol

The great part is it comes off! so one can go either way they feel suits them. :smile1:

Just started a thread with lots of pictures [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4] it's so different that's why I like it wasn't sure but I do ... I have nothing like it and love the silver on it ... If I didn't have 3 black bags already I'd get black too but I have black Astor, Riley and Greenwich
