My favorite is the Zoey in either black or merlot. I like the style of the Bedford satchel but not in that color for some reason.
This is really nice, love the front pocket. Cannot stand that lock it would have to go.. wth is it for anyways? to knock yourself and/or something with it??
It seems alot of his bags have these locks on them, this year. Not too sure why, lol.
Yes. I don't like those locks. They cheapen the look of the bags.....
Not sure if they cheapen but they are so impractical and just odd frankly... unnecessary.
Hi Smiley! Was gone all weekend. I looked thru all your pics and while I like all of them, this luggage with the contrast white stitching really caught my eye! Look at those great outer compartments on it and the detailing on it is stunning!
As far as the lock goes, it is a bag charm! It is also a signature charm. While some don't like them, others won't have their bags without them.Nothing wrong with some added bling. I like it myself.
I think it's an awesome bag in luggage or black. I've always liked the Bedford, but tulip this time of year?? I 'm more in the mood for fall colors. Would you even use it until spring?? The Bedford is gorgeous! Oh heck, get all of them ! lol!
Not all locks on MK bags are just for decoration. Many of them actually work and serve a purpose such as on the Joan Satchel, or this bag I have here. I love this bag, especially when my sticky fingered little nephew spends the night, and I can lock my money in this front pocket! lol! See the latch?? Wish I could see the look on the little stinker's face, tryin to get any cash out of here, lol! Sad, but lots of Moms and Grammas have sticky fingered kids! lol! These locked compartments are perfect for this. Or maybe trying to hide a small gift on your husband?? Just any time you need some "privacy", ie. hiding meds, etc.
The only one that can open it, is ME, because I have the key. The only lock that isn't really functional are the ones on the Hamiltons and a few others. Otherwise, he has quite a few bags, where the locks actually do lock the bag and are not just for decoration. This is one of my favorite MK drawstring totes, that I am able to lock.

Well it's true! MK has several bags where you can really lock them. Some are stating "what purpose"?? If the lock actually locks a compartment, it has a purpose, but I am pretty sure the bag in question here, is just for decoration, but that's Ok too.
Interesting, see the ones i have seen are purely for decoration... I have never needed to lock my purse.. i realize others may, nobody goes in my bag... my kids, my dh.. no one... it's like a sacred item lol
The decoration factor of them can be difficult as they add weight and swing about on some styles so i do get why, some feel they are there why exactly ? lol of coarse some love tons of things on their bags and of coarse that is okay.
I know what you mean. I never liked the lock on the Hamiltons because they don't function for anything. Just letting you know that MK DOES have bags with locks on them that are functional and lock the bags. Not all of them are just for "show" . I can't see any point to them either, if they don't work?? lol! I just hate for everyone to think when I am carrying my bag with the lock on it, that I have it just for show. Not true at all! I really do lock that pocket, usually when I have a lot of company or go on trips. A theif could always cut the lining and be able to get into it, but I KNOW, the kids won't do this! lol! They better not! lol! Yes, some of us like to be able to lock compartments.
ie; Not long ago, I bought a watch for my husband and was able to hide it quite nicely in there. He does go in my bags from time to time to get one of my cards, etc. I was so glad he couldn't see that watch! Came in real handy. .

Ok after reading this I ordered the walnut one......we will see how I like it when it comes. I am glad I didnt order the Bedford I saw it today in a differnt color and i hangs funny when its hooked a certain way. If I dont like it I will just wait for something special to come along
It looks to be a really nice bag. I love that outer compartment on it and the detailed contrast stitching is sweet! Just hope it is not too small. Hope you like it! Can't wait for your pics!
