I just had a quick look on all sites recommended and wondered about prices. For bags beeing preowned I wonder how they still can be worth so much money. It is still at least 75% of the price I would have to pay for a brand new one.... well, maybe it is like selling a mercedes or a land rover. you will get much more for the mercedes, same kilometers.....

I just purchased an Hermes Kelly Vibrato bag from eBay seller designerdesigne-2007. The seller DID NOT mention that the shoulder strap is missing. She claims that she "ran out" and found a shoulder strap and included in the box when shipping it to me, but I didn't receive it at all. I opened a case with EBAY and she then claims she will find another one for me....at the same time, she asked EBAY to make a decision in her favor because she never said there IS a shoulder strap! I can't believe this....the seller is making up stories back and forth! no one buys a car without an engine and a responsible selller definitely will mention missing engine when selling a car!!! should I reveal the auction number here?

Only Kellys past a certain year come with a strap. And if the auction didn't include a strap, I think the seller is actually in the clear with eBay. In terms of eBay mechanics and disputes, you are better off taking this to the eBay subforum.

Thanks so much for your comment... so perhaps it's my mistake! The Kelly bag is marked F year in a square.
I have purchased another Kelly from another seller. The bag was also without a strap, but the seller clearly mentioned it, so that was a smooth and happy transaction.
As with this seller, what I dislikes is that she doesn't mention in the first place, then claims she mailed it, then said it's not supposed to be included...... that's all.....

I think if it isn't mentioned in the auction, or pictured with the bag, the seller has no obligation to sell it as part of the auction. Sorry to say, EBay may find in her favor as she shipped what you say was included in the auction. Straps are quite expensive so if she added one at no extra cost, consider yourself lucky.

problem is she didn't include it.... but she claims she did.....

honestly...if she doesn't have a shoulder strap, she should just tell me she doesn't have it and it's not included in the auction. It's always better to face the truth than trying to make up stories like it's shipped, will get another one for you, etc..... and at the same time ask ebay to close the case since she never mentioned the shoulder strap at the auction description.

It's really my fault to trust the seller and not being careful enough and ask more questions prior to buying it.

I am new to purseblog and I hope what I am posting here isn't appropriate.....if it is, please let me know. Thank you for your understanding and I hope I can be part of this fantastic forum!:smile1:

If a strap was not included in the auction, by eBay rules she did nothing wrong. Again, if you want to discuss the mechanics of a dispute, please take this to the eBay subforum, though I doubt the posters there will say the seller is in the wrong.

I tried to find a seller by that name on e-bay and none exist. Also cannot find a listing for this bag that ended within the last 30 days.
