Thanks for the information. Please post an update on how everything went once you have your bag.

Just an update on eclaireatelier

I cannot fault this company as the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. Bag was shipped on Wednesday and arrived yesterday. I was given the tracking code when it was shipped. I didn’t have to chase for anything - the seller communicated with me all the way through. The lady who I have been communicating with is extremely fast to respond, answered all my questions and very polite and professional throughout. The bag is exactly as described and brand new. I would 100% shop again with this company.

Hi

Anyone knows finklepuff authenticity? shes IG based, doesnt have a physical store. any idea how she gets so many bags daily? i know she source from Indonesia but still she updates daily with 5-15 new bags! also, any idea why her bags comes with no or copy receipt mostly? Where do the original receipts go?
I‘ve never dealt with her, but a quick look at her Instagram and I can tell you how she gets so many bags..... she doesn’t. It’s common for resellers to purchase bags from another reseller and they will often post another resellers photos in an attempt to sell to an end user before purchasing it at a cheaper rate from the other reseller. This doesn’t mean she’s untrustworthy, but bear in mind that she hasn’t purchased most of these bags first hand, let alone even physically seen them, and is instead trusting someone else to verify that they purchased it legitimately. Also, if it’s a new bag then there’s no reason it wouldn’t come with a receipt, even with the personal details redacted. I‘d be very weary of resellers who repost photos from such varied sources so frequently. Again though, I’ve never personally dealt with her, just my observation as a fellow reseller who would never sell a bag without physically verifying it myself first.

The Real Real opened a store here in Austin and I loved being able to try on stuff. I have an appt at the Hermès in Dallas next week and not sure I should go because I’ll want to buy all.the.things.

They have opened so many stores lately - seems crazy to me in such uncertain times. Lots of stores, big and small, have had to cope with huge rents as more and more people move to shopping online.

The snarky me would say that their $$ is better spent on actual authenticators than new stores...

Drunk me agrees with you. The price of the Evelyne was insane. If I was looking for that color I may pay the price they ask but since it wasn’t a color I’d want, I’d rather buy one for retail from an Hermès boutique. The only plus was that I got to see the tpm and picotin in person w/o having to go into a boutique.

I tend to agree. Also, I know these type of shops are coming online more and more, but how is TRR and others protecting against additional damage/wear caused by this type of consignment? I think one of the things I like most about online consignment is how few people touch the merchandise prior to purchase.

Hi! This might not be the right thread for this question, but I have the option of getting a Kelly Sellier 32 Black Box Leather, 1998, absolutely mint condition, with dustbag, box, strap + clochette and keys, for approx USD 9600 (from a reputable seller). This would be my first Hèrmes and I have never tried on a Kelly, nor will I be able to do so before purchasing.
Hence, one of my concerns is the possible resale value if the bag does not agree with me.

Thankful for any opinions you would like to share
