I just couldn't pay by wire transfer. I even offered to pay more to use paypal or credit card, but when the seller said no to this as well, I had to move on.

Etika Fatma is actually very reliable and ethical. I personally buy a lot of bags from her for my own clients and I pay all my suppliers via wire transfer, buying over $2M a month. A lot of the smaller sellers who work from home, like Etika, simply aren’t equipped for credit card payments. I’ve found her to be one of the most honest people I’ve worked with.

Thanks for that information. She seemed so nice and was so responsive to my questions. In the end, I paid more money for the same bag, but did it through paypal. However, it's good to know that she is an ethical buyer.

IMO, if a seller is unwilling to accept a form of payment protecting a buyer - assuming the buyer is willing to pay the markup - it's suspect. It does not cost a seller anything to "use" Paypal, etc - the fee is upon transaction. Wire transfer obviates any possibility of recourse if anything at all is wrong with the item (wrong color, wrong leather, missed issue).
Personally I sell with protection for the buyer and price accordingly. If it's a buyer I know and who knows me, we might forgo that, but it is always, always up to the buyer.
