Today, I won a lovely Hermes scarf on Ebay. Right after paying for it, I received a message from the seller, saying Ebay had mistakenly listed it at too low a starting bid and would I please retract my winning bid so she could relist the item at a higher price! Seriously? She had seven days to correct the listing. Beware of this seller: blumenkenner

Is this seller trying to pull a fast one??? At any rate, I hope the seller returned your payment though. This is ridiculous.

Hello! I understand your bag was shipped from Italy?? What was the process with US Customs like and the duties tax they place on the bag?

Also what was the duty rate??

I can give you my experience with international buying. If received by USPS and the value is over $200.00 USD, it usually takes an additional week for customs processing when it enters the US where they slap on a bill. The duty is collected when USPS delivers your mail and your package is given to you after you pay by cash or check.

The duty rate for leather goods is 9% with a $4.95 processing fee. Even if it is over $200.00, you may or may not get taxed as it depends on the luck of the draw.

Hi Ladies. Has anyone had any experience purchasing scarves from ebay seller "recessionstyle." Seller has about 12 scarves listed currently, has relatively good feedback but a recent neutral. Any feedback to share?
