Do you feel comfortable elaborating? Would be so helpful. I've had good experience as a consignor with AFF in the past, but recent posts have made me wonder if I should reconsider sending more items.

Just recent exchanges I had with them. I always found the Consignor Dashboard difficult or impossible to access. It did not really bother me. After not hearing from them a long while, I inquired about two items I consigned. I had not seen them on their website or their other listing sites, eBay or Bonanza. Received a reply after a delay the items sold & I would receive a check. It seemed so unlike them. I usually had good communication. I also wonder how they price lately & their strategies. I know their percent distribution. Some things on other resale sites in same condition appear to list at higher prices

Can anyone recommend a good consignment or direct sell place for Hermes bags? Im talking to the realreal right now. However i searched up online and it seems like they have terrible reviews So I'm hesitating right now. Anyone have dealt with this company? and how was it?

I have sold Chanel & other designer shoes with TRR & had good experiences. Very direct. More so lately. I have not consigned any bags or clothing. Like you, I am wary due to questionable reviews. It would be helpful to know more fb

I just sold something on 60 day layaway also. Then I still have to wait to see if it gets returned... However, I just don’t have the nerves for eBay etc.

Neither do I have the nerve for e bay

I felt like eBay was fine in the past, as a seller, but there is so little protection for sellers, now. Their long term plan is mystifying to me...I feel like they've managed to alienate both buyers and sellers! :shrugs: Currently, I'm much more comfortable consigning, and AFF has always seemed one of the best options.

Yes I have some things with them right now. A couple have sold via Layaway, so I have to wait for my $.

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, greatly appreciated.

Me neither! I never used their dashboard. I just email them and have always received reply within 1-2 days.

It is a good idea to know the status of the items sent. Therefore a Consignor Dashboard
I understand for some things it takes a while to sell.
Also, a few years ago. I never received a check for sold things & contacted AFF. Supposedly was lost in the mail. They promptly sent a replacement. The original never showed up. I took this for the truth.
I have not sent a lot of items to be consigned with them.
Maybe it's time for me to take a selling break from AFF. I was happy & trusting in the past. I am not trying to degrade them in any way. Just relating my experiences

I am wary about selling on eBay. Never really know much about the buyer & rely on ratings. Have you consigned with EBay Valet - they are the 'middleman (if it still exists) or Fashionphile? I was thinking of sending some things to either of them & would like others fb before I do

Hello! I've never used eBay Valet, as I really prefer to manage all parts of the transaction myself when selling on eBay. And I've not consigned with Fashionphile, I've only used Ann's.

Members contributing to the eBay forum (link below) may have experience with the valet service you mentioned, perhaps ask there? Also, look a bit there, many have shared their experiences with the various consignment companies. Hopefully helpful, best wishes! :flowers:
