I already posted in the Trio thread but I think this needs it's own thread.

The strap of my Trio broke off! I was walking into a restaurant for lunch today and I felt the strap break off and fall on the floor. I carry the bag cross body. I was in shock when I saw the broken strap, as I picked up my bag off the floor.:crybaby:

I don't carry much in my bag (wallet, keys, lip balms, phone, reusable bag and sunglasses) and I have only received this bag less than I month ago. TBH, I kinda baby it because I don't want to scratch the leather and I don't stuff it since I don't like when the bag is puffed out.

Has this thing happened to any Trio owner? I have already emailed Chrystalla and DF and am waiting for a reply.

Do you think they should replace it or just repair it? I can probably look for a repair place locally and have them reattach the strap but I feel that the bag might not look as nice.

I love this bag but now I'm devastated:crybaby:

Replace, don't repair. I don't think it will be the same if you repaired and chances are that the strap may be even shorter after the repair. This is just unacceptable and I am sorry to hear that it happened to you. It is also the first time I hear of such a thing happening to the Trio. Céline's quality control is getting from bad to worse. I hope DF saves the day for you.

What a disappointment. I am sorry this has happened to your trio!

Please keep us updated on your repair/replacement. There have been ladies here who have had to send bags back to Celine for repair, and others who have had bags replaced immediately.

totally unacceptable and clearly, a defect! could be the stitching that holds the strap might have created bigger holes, which eventually tore up the leather w/ tension... so sorry this happened, but no worries. i'm sure DF will pull thru. i've had a minor prob w/ a bag from them before, and they immediately communicated w/ celine about the problem.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. The bag will be going back to DF today. Chrystalla will forward the pictures I sent her to Celine and see if I can get a replacement or at the least a full repair. I did stress to her I would want it replaced.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly. Like purse-nality said it is a defect. I'll update you guys with any news.

Sorry to hear about that! I m hoping everything will get settled before DF closes for summer holiday in Aug !

I was thinking about the August holidays too so I sent it off right away. From Chrystalla's last email she wants to sort it out ASAP.
