Trinity Ring Classic Ceramic

Good morning everyone.:flowers:

I am considering purchasing a classic trinity ring. However as I only wear white metals I was considering the ceramic version. I’ve never tried it on in store, only the classic three gold one. I’m fact I’ve never seen it before.
I don’t have a Cartier Boutique in my country (Scotland) and travel during these times is not an option.
Do any of you own it and have any thoughts on it?

is the white gold unplated like in the classic version?

Also, any pictures would be gratefully received.:biggrin:

Thank you:heart:

It’s absolutely beautiful on you. The ceramic is so striking. Do you wear it daily? Does it wear well?

I’m disappointed but not surprised it isn’t plated. I don’t suit unplated white gold unfortunately. So it’s probably a no go for me.

My SA told me nothing white gold from Cartier is plated with the exception of the pave Loves to make them pop. Their white gold has platinum as the alloy so that they don't have to plate it. Plated white gold will eventually turn yellow so I think Cartier avoids it. Maybe my SA is lying to me, but I've also been told be another SA at different store lol! I think it also explains why all the white gold jewelry costs more than the yellow/pink gold at Cartier.

That’s really interesting. I was told only pieces that contain diamonds are plated.

I bought the small JUC ring last year in Berlin and it was bright and white in the shop despite not being plated. Within days of wearing it, it had dulled to a neither white, neither yellow shade. It was not nice and on me looked like cheap, faded costume jewelry. It must have been cause by the oils etc in my skin.

I had a discussion with Cartier Customer Service when I returned from holiday (there’s no boutique in my country) and they agreed, in this instance to plate it for me.
It looks great now but I know I won’t purchase an unplated piece again. I may reconsider the classic gold version again.

Thank you for your reply. :flowers:

Have you tried to inquire with Cartier? I think they’ll give you the best answer and they have a great customer service whether through email or online chat :)

I am afraid maybe I will get a biased answer but Cartier online chat ? I didn't realize they have one ! I'll check that !

That really depends. If you ask someone from Cartier Zurich or Paris they are *definitely* biased. Wouldn't rely on them in any way. I'd rather call a small boutique. They know the aswers and are more honest to you. Cannot comment on the chat. I know their online staff who is friendly but honest? Dunno :confused1:
