Tried on Daytona for fun, is it too big on me?

Thanks ladies for all of your inputs! I really think it's a great watch, and when I see how beautiful it looked on some of the ladies here, it made me want to get it myself, even with that price tag!
But when I tried it on I did feel that it's big and thick. But I am not sure if it's just I'm not used to a big watch or what. Anyway I will have to think about it more for sure.

Thank you all so much you guys are GREAT!

So went to the Rolex shop during lunch and tried on the Daytona. What do yo ladies think, is it kind of big? I actually think the face is not too big, but it's very thick, so when I wear sweater or something the sleeves will be scrunched around the watch. I also feel that it is a little heavy, but maybe I just need to get used to it. According to my friend who went with me, the watch fits my overall style and is "95% perfect". But for this price I would want a watch that's absolutely perfect!

I know this is an old thread, but may I ask what size wrist you have? I too am looking at the Daytona but I have a small wrist (almost 6 inches) and am worried about the size.

Your trepidation tells me you need to keep looking. This is a big purchase and you're questioning it, you're not in love w/ it refusing to leave the store w/o it.
I like big watches, but I think this may be a bit too big. I think the very oversized ones, like this on us girls, are not classic and could look a little dated eventually instead of classic as you would want from a watch at this price.

This. :)

Yes, it sure is. If the lugs (the metal part of the case surrounding the dial) are extending to the full width of your wrist, or more than that, it's too big. The Daytona is very large and will not shrink once you get it, lol. There is absolute celebrity mania going on for oversized watches, but huge purchases need to be guided by being rational.

Agree 100%.
