^ To whoever said they don't have much resale value, I think they actually do. There are a ton of fakes on eBay but I'm pretty sure the real ones still go for a good price.

A few of my past teachers and professors have worn tiffany sterling silver pieces and I really think it's what you wear it with or how you wear it. One of them just keeps the return to tiffany heart bracelet on everyday because her daughter bought it for her and when I see it I always think "awww" and not "wow, she's too old for it" and a few of them have worn the less popular pieces (like the simple pendants on a chain) and those seem more understated and classic.

I don't think anyone is too old for the tag bracelets - I see alot of young girls wearing them (mostly the knockoffs you can buy at Claire's etc) - but ALOT of adult women wear them, including both of my sister in laws, who are in their 30's with kids. It's so cute, because my SO is one of 3 boys, and all 3 of us women wear the tag bracelets all the time - one wears the circle tag bracelet, the other wears the heart tag, and I wear the return to heart tag. It's very cute how we all match in that way :p

I also own the return to tiffany's tag bracelet and necklace.. I haven't worn the necklace is a few years... it's a bit heavy... i rarely wear the tag bracelet... I guess I should get rid of it.. I dunno what keeps me from doing that though.

What I meant was that the Tiffany sterling pieces are prone to scratching and dents (because sterling is a softer and less-durable metal than gold or white gold), and I think that kind of reduces their resale value. Plus, the pieces aren't all that expensive to begin with, compared to other fine jewelery. So I just don't see why somebody would want to pay very much on eBay for my scratched-up Tiffany tag bracelet that I bought for $145 or so five years ago...:shrugs:

Yeah I have the same set, matter of fact I have it on in my family picture, I took with my husband and daughter, I haven't worn mine in a while either, I used to wear it every day and everywhere even if I was running to target or something. But I won't get rid of them because I know I would just miss them and want them again. So I just pull them out on occasions. I don't care if people keep wearing them, the trend will pass. (hopefully)

i think everyone's tired of it because everyone has it!! my cousin is in middle school and almost all of her friends have everything i have!! i can't sell my necklaces or bracelets though because they're all from either my dad or my boyfriend... still compliments any regular outfit though =)

I do think that the heart tags and the Elsa Peretti stuff are a little overplayed. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't wear them if you like them. I have an Open Heart necklace my father gave to me when I was 6 (I'm 26 now!) and a 5 Open Heart necklace that my now-husband gave to me when we first started dating. I'll never stop wearing them no matter how "tired" others think they are, because they have a lot of meaning to me.
Ack! Don't tell me Elsa is already overplayed! I just bought the little starfish without the diamond.. do you all see that alot:?

i bought the tiffany atlas toggle choker and i love it, i haven't seen anyone else with one, but i must say i do see quite a few people with the 'return to" necklaces. i just say, if you like it, wear it. no biggie.

If something has sentimental value wear it, I think the chunky chain look will come back in at some point so I hung on to my bracelet. Also, I would suggest getting creative like adding to the charm bracelet or perhaps removing the heart altogether or even weaving ribbon through it. If you ladies have both the bracelet and necklace I would link them together and see how they looked wrapped around the wrist multiple times. I let my 7 year old daughter wear my older silver Tiffany things, I think they should appreciate fine things and have them for a long time.
