Why am I not surprised at the indifferent treatment you received ? At least Manchester H knows how to behave . I'm a M/C girl originally [Altrincham] so I'm cheering !
I've been a sporadic customer at Bond Street and Sloane Street over the past 30 years , and it's always pot luck in those stores as to what sort of reception one receives .
I've had both : from wonderful to downright off hand . I've had a senior staff member push past me to welcome a customer dripping with ostentatious wealth .
That's why I'm in no hurry to get to Bond Street , all in due course and preferably with H friends which makes it fun whatever .
Now if you want a lovely Hermès experience in London , Royal Exchange is the best IMO
Lovely staff, great stock and not too busy .
That's just me : I'm not interested in looking at other shoppers' bags and kit , prefer to make my decisions without all that hubbub going on around me.
 
Nice update Georgiegirl27, I hope that email will help soothe some of the bad feelings from the incident. And I hope they have learned their lesson and will be more sensitive about customers' needs in the future :smile1:

I've been following this thread, and am so happy H replied to your satisfaction. They handled the original situation very poorly. Let us hope they really do put it right now.

The last sentence of your post made me giggle... whilst I enjoy seeing the ladies purchases and the authentic finds here on the forum, when I am shopping in the boutiques I am completely focused on my purchases! :)

I didn't realise there was a Hermes at Royal Exchange - I will look up the details - thank you for that Frou frou :smile1: x

I do hope I am right as I would genuinely LOVE them to excel now and to show by their actions that they really do care about what happened and really do want to put it right :smile1: x

They excel in so many areas, and I'd love to see that notes from customers such as yourself, who take the time to provide feedback, will nudge them to place greater importance in this area, as well. Hurrah, georgiegirl--So happy to hear that Hermes is behaving appropriately! I am also so glad that you pressed the issue a little (with dignity and discretion). We have to let them know that their customer service needs to be more consistent, and more consistently good.

I am so happy that you received an email back from them! What happened to you was outrageous, and you have every right to expect some sort of resolution. I'm so sorry this even happened to you at all - in this day and age, I truly would've expected more from a premium store, but the world always finds ways of disappointing us sadly. Fingers crossed they fix the situation the way you're hoping :flowers:

I just went back and read the topic, I am so glad they responded to you! There is no excuse for their behavior!

So happy to hear this, but the situation should never have been so mismanaged in the first place. I hope they have the elevator fixed by now.

I'm so glad to hear this update! And truly can't wait to know how they resolve this whole issue for you. They have every incentive to do it extremely well and with a lot of style - the very least I'm expecting.

The situation was handled so badly but at the same time, i am not entirely surprised with the kind of service standard that Hermes has displayed as i myself am currently going through a series of very unpleasant service level at Hermes!

I am glad that at least Hermes has responded to your feedback and hope that they will resolve it satisfactorily.
