I am taking this post back, because I agree with potomj, this is not what this thread is about. Ladies, please continue posting your pictures. And lets forget the last page or so =)

sweetneet and fettfleck - I'll address both of you in this post.

As I said above, I am entitled to my opinion just as all of you are. I simply gave my suggestions and even offered up an idea for where to get the book printed, in my first post. It was all of you, who jumped on me, saying that this wasn't meant to be sold to "professional" photographers. I never said it was. AND, I also said that people have some great and hilarious photos on here. It IS great to see different points of view.

As a professional, and as an artist, I was giving my opinion on how a finished book would look. That's all it was, my opinion. If you all want to read things into it, that's your issue.

The problem on tpf sometimes is if you don't hold the "popular" opinion in a thread, then members feel it's ok to turn the thread around and onto the person who has a differing opinion (as all of you are doing now.) We even have another poster, now stating, that her amateur photos are comparable to a pro's since she has been published!

If any of you have an issue with me, please feel free to PM me and you can go "off" on me there. That isn't what this thread is about.

I'm not being mean to any one person, I'm simply stating the truth, about the quality of some of the photos. YES, it's wonderful to share them amongst each other. Publish the book and buy it, no one is stopping you.

This isn't a "new" concept. The issue of "quality" exists in any field. Whether its a good being sold or a service being performed.

Also, something none of you seem to have noticed while going "off" on me and taking me to task about my opinions is I am not talking about any of my images, so I am NOT comparing myself or my work to any of these other images. I was talking in generalities and using other member's work for comparison.

Sorry that my opinion seems to be different than most.

To start us off again, here are a few more pictures...

It was going just fine until it became a "professional" discussion. We were having a good time. This thread is about photos as art and we all can and do take awesome photos of the any quality! And all who post their pics here are artists IMO:yahoo: The book is a wish only no need to get all excited. Let's keep this thread creative, supportive, and fun, thanks! :smile1:
