Found a Cent Plis de Miao in the Encre/Or/Mauve colorway... Was looking for this one in NYC on the weekend...

I went at like 3:45 and there was NO line up
I'm sad to say they ahve the scarf my husband splurged on last xmas from Hermes Calgary...$420 plus 1 tax...*sigh* oh well, bought 2 scarfs to make up for it! $200/ea 90x90 and bought my hubby a tie $100...so $565 after taxes!
Saw a couple bags and stuff...none of the ones we want tho lol they also have some housewares, doggy jacket and an apron (really).
Might go afterwork again...probably shouldn't lol!

I was there at 5:20 this morning and was among the first group to get in.
Bought one narrow Astrologie enamel and one Belle Mexique gavroche. Plus cologne and perfume as gifts.
Loved many 90 scarves, but not as much as the ones at home, so I stayed under budget! I may regret not purchasing a dip dye, but only time will tell.
It was a lot of fun chatting with everyone in the line.

The sale was awesomeness!!! I bought four 90cm scarves...Was a bit disappointed that my UHG was there and I purchased it at full price in October and that this lady was holding onto another UHG of mine and she FINALLY put it down in both CWs when I was in line to pay!!! SO MAD!!
Overall it was worth it!! Got a scarf that has been on my wish list since last summer! Also got the only Mon Petite Chavel in royal blue! A Christophe Columbus scarf and another American one (Lafayettes visit to America?)
I hope at least one tpfer got two of the Chasse India scarves I saw!!

Picked up a few items at this year's Hermes sale at Toronto/MTCC. It was a 2 hour wait but definitely worth the goodies I found there! There were definitely lots more people there then I've seen in the past 2 bi-annual sales.
I found two scarves that I absolutely love! Borrowing some pictures from the forum for reference - as my cell phone pics didn't turn out too well.
-Dancing Pearls (in brown)
-Les Domes de Celestes (lt Grey)
I also picked up a Ulysses PM Paper refill and a SLG - bleu de prusse zip zap id papers holder; which I will be using as a passport holder. I also picked up a tie for DH.
Overall a very nice variety of scarves. Not as many SLGs as last time, but quite a few agenda covers and refills, some jewelry & hair ornaments, PLENTY of scarves & ties, a few bags and cosmetic pouches, belts, perfume and porcelain.

After months of waiting for the sale, I had decided late last night that I was not going to go even though I had planned to go to Toronto to do some exchanges of merchandise! (Yeah... I must be crazy...) I just didn't want to stand in line for 2 hours. I was thinking of my feet and my sister's health as well. She cannot take to much strain, and we decided to go to Toronto together with our mum.
I got to Toronto and the SALE was in my mind the entire day. I checked from time to time on TPF to see what you all had to say about the sale (yay Iphone). I finally read that there was no more line up late in the afternoon and ended up going to the sale at 5pm just to see how they had set it all up. (I wasn't even hopeful at this point that they would have any nice scarves left.) I was surprised to see someone holding a Brides de Gala dip dye in aubergine! (My bf bought this for me at FULL PRICE! OUCH!) I was a little sad to see it, because I am sure they had other colorways available earlier on. I definitely would have gotten them.
BTW... (this is something that could happe right out of a movie) the lady that was wearing the BDG took a scarf I was looking at right out of my hand!!!! Yes... you heard me! I picked up the only scarf with bolduc ribbon (in a shadow print... sorry, I don't remember the name) and it was in my hand when she swiped it out of it! I was so shocked, I couldn't say anything. I just gawked and she started to inspect it and I thought she would turn around and hand it to me, but she walked away with it! It doesn't matter... I'm over it now and brown is not my colour anyway.
Well, I ended up getting the following things:
2 pointu madras for me from mum
a scarf for future MIL (I did my best and was limited by the selection left)
a tie for future FIL
BTW... I paid more for the pointu madras, but I am confused... Why are they only $475 US on the Hermes website when they are marked $650 (original price) on the tags? I paid $325 for each. I know this is a charity sale, but did I get ripped off???

^^ Nope, scarves are more expensive in Canada than in the states. Regular 90x90 are $420, compared to $375 in the states.
