The sapphire Selma can be carried year round, but I find that it's such a gorgeous color that I tend to only want to carry it on special occasions or with specific outfits, not every day. Did you make a final decision on color?
The sapphire is gorgeous! I have the dressy in sapphire, but find myself not picking it up often because it is such a bold statement color for everyday wear. I get soooo many compliments every time I take it out though.
I have a black Selma. It was the first MK bag that I got that made me fall in love with the brand. The black Selma is just so sophisticated, professional, classy, trendy and timeless. Never have to worry about stains or creasing because the material is so sturdy and easy to maintain. I really suggest the black if this is a bag you're going to use almost everyday! I bought my bag in early April and I am still in love with it. Every time I see it in a store or take it out of its dust bag, my heart skips a beat.
Just wanted to throw in my two cents! I have the top zip in sapphire and I just ordered a pearl gray selma yesterday. I can't comment on the selma as much because I don't have it yet but I'm super excited and think I will love it. I can tell you my sapphire top zip is absolutely my favorite bag purchase. I was hesitant because of the simple style and the versatility of the color. It is SO comfortable and the blue complements everything I wear. I also have strangers stop me constantly and ask where my bag came from. I am excited about the selma though because I think satchels are sexy! I guess what I'm sayin is you need both lol!!
