I love wearing black and i love black bags as well. The black selma looks so chic and professional at the same time! I was trying to stay away from black just because i have the e/w hamilton in black :/ I'm gonna head on to Macys or the MK store and check out all the different colors and see what i like best tomorrow!
You're right. Black gives you the option to go from day to evening pretty seamlessly. However, I solved this problem recently by purchasing a beautiful black wallet/clutch that I can pull out of my handbag at night to use with party outfits. Now I can carry any handbag color I want during the day because I know I'm always covered with my black wallet/clutch for the evening.
I also bought a black MK wristlet recently (the one that you can put your phone in) so I can go out anywhere either day or night and have it match anything! I was looking for something versatile and I knew black was it
Update! I have been trying on the Selma for the past few days at home and it definitely doesn't seem too big anymore. I'm in love with it! I am definitely keeping the Selma! I may keep the top zip too or let my mom have it. Just have to decide what color I want the Selma in now hahaha. Decisions decisions!
I bought a preLoVed LV zippy organizer in black epi leather and separately purchased a textured black leather wristlet that I attached to the zipper pull so I can use the wallet as a clutch. It definitely provides a lot of versatility for the evening, and it's big enough to fit my cell phone in it with all my other stuff.
