Recently, I've been buying shoes by Brian Atwood. They are shown on quite a few movie stars in the rag mags. Anne Hathaway wore a pair of black, suede open toe pumps with a horizontal black and gold striped heel. They are about 4 or 5 inch heels, and make quite a statement. Of course, I bought them. Two pairs, actually, just in case something happens to one pair. Can you imagine????? I think Brian Atwood originally designed for Bally. I have about four pairs of his shoes, and they are probably the best fitting, and the most comfortable heels.

Tough call...
1. Miu Miu - reasonably priced, beautiful shoes, innovative designs;
2. CL - consistently good quality closed-toe pumps (great for those of us who don't work in the fashion industry);
3. Manolo Blahnik - consistently available comfortable heels in a variety of leathers, colours and heel heights;
4. Lanvin - fun flats;
5. Tods - reasonably chic comfortable shoes for traveling.

As far as comfortable...I found that Michael Kors soft, kid leather flats are the ones I love the most. They have a perfectly, flat sole, no heel at all...very much like Lavin flats. Only they don't have the elastic band on the heel, that no matter what size I try, they hurt my feet. Michael Kors flats also show some toe cleavage.
