That's the only way I am every able to upload pics, the easiest way is through my iphone.. so quick! The other way is to upload to photobucket and then to here.

I think photobucket would work, but if you want to resize and upload through the forum, here's a couple ways to do it-

If you use PC, you could resize using Paint:
Open the Paint program (All Programs > Accessories > Paint)
Open the file
Resize using Home > Image > Resize
Check the Maintain Aspect Ratio box and resize so the width is less than 1200px
Save and Post!

If you're a Mac, you could resize using Preview:
Open your file in Preview (double click file)
Resize using Tools > Adjust Size
Resize so the width is less than 1200px
Save and Post!

i like how you made the bag look quite unique and completely yours. i can tell you are very confident with your fashion choices.

in a world where we are all likely to bump into another person carrying exactly the same bag as ours, having something a bit more personal is refreshing, don't you think?

Thanks Dedi. I actually ran into lady at my son's ballgame who did a double take when she saw my bag. She was carrying another MK bag so she knew what my Hamilton "should look like" and she smiled at me. I like the fact no one has Hamiltons like mine. Again, to each his own.
I am carrying my black Hamilton today to a workshop where there will be a lot of MK experts. I am sure my bag will get a few glances.:graucho:

Hi neatrivers,

The bag looks great! At first I kinda stared at it like something was off because I'm so used to seeing hamiltons with the chain, but the more I look at it the more I think it holds its own very well without the chain.

The chain links seem more plastic-y or flimsy than the d-rings, dis they break when you took pliers to them?

The d-ring is much more substantial than the links on the chain. I was able to remove three of the sides, but my husband had to remove the link on one side of the bags. With a little pressure the links will open. I do not intend to try to remove the d-ring because those are quite common on bags that have removable straps. Maybe MK will do the removable strap with the Hamiltons in the future.

I'm such a hardware junkie that I can't even imagine removing those gorgeous chains, but your bag looks great. Can you re-attach down the road just in case you get a Birkin;) and you want your MK to look like an MK :)

I recall reading that someone removed the chain and attached clips to the ends so it could be reattached as needed? It could be done stylishly using some kind of appropiately sized shiny round carabiners like in this pic:

This way you get to eat the cake and keep it ;)

Personally I do use the strap a lot, when I have the laptop and other work stuff packed in the Hamilton. I'm afraid the handles would stretch under the weight, and it feels like the strap handles/distributes the weight better.
