Here's the 31mm...sorry if I've posted in another thread. Told my DH I didn't want diamond bezel so I guess I'd get this with same as 36mm-MOP face and diamond markers...

too big, or almost too big. The photo shows it not completely in place correctly as it would look when fitted to you, but i think if it were in place, there would be almost no band visible on the top of your wrist. And if the top of the wrist is taken up entirely by the dial and lugs of a watch, then the watch is too big.

This is not a sporty watch; with the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel it's the classic dressier rolex. The 31mm is more of a lifetime keeper, imo.

+1

Personally I think it's too big. I had a similar dilemma between ballon bleu 28 and 33. The 33 wasn't as big on my wrist as the 36 on your wrist but at the end I knew I had to pick what looked balanced with my wrist. I wish the 33 worked on me, but the way I figure, there will be other watches down the road and someone will think of our dainty wrists!

So true! So what did you end up with??

The 31mm looks better on you. One thing to consider is the weight too. I have two Rolexes in 26mm and one of them is heavier due to the jubilee bracelet and the weight bothers me at times.

So, my DH did surprise me with the watch last night!! He got the 31mm in two tone. SOOO, we went back to the store because I def want the all stainless. He is not a fan of the 36mm because he's worried in 10years I'll want a new watch if "big" isn't in. GRR..
Here's a comparison...

If you ever want to mix it up, you can wear it on a nice croc/alligator/python/ostrich/stingray band to suit your mood!

I really like the 31mm better on you. you have a petite build and to me if suites you better. but don't listen to me :p get what you truly love .

Gosh, this is such a hard choice- both look amazing on you!
I love the 36mm on you for a sporty, fun, casual vibe. I think the diamonds dress it up for more formal events. It definitely fits you but it reads more "laid back", casual.
The 31 fits you but has a look that's a bit more dressy and timeless. Both look amazing. I think you just have to decide what look you are hoping this watch to fulfill. Maybe have this be your "fun" watch and your Cartier tank be your dress watch.
