TOMS shoes

I adore TOMS. I have three pair (Classic w/ Morocco print, Classic black, and gray wedge), but I am extremely disappointed that they are made in China. I wish they were either made in the USA or in some developing country that could use the economic stimulus. It seems like it would be a good product to help develop women-owned businesses in other countries outside of China.

"Made in China" just doesn't align well with the whole TOMS concept in the first place...IN MY OPINION.

I'm so surprised that there isn't a trending thread for TOMS in here. They're such great shoes, I own 11 different pairs!

For me, they run true to size. They are very comfortable - I walked all 3 days at Disneyland in TOMS and my feet never hurt. Great shoes all around.

Me too! I just got back form Disney and my rainbow flip flops broke! Someone reccomended TOMS and I have been in love since! I spent almost a week in Southern CA and walked a lot and I didn't get a single blister!

My only advice to you is do not wash them! I bought the snow leopard pair on my vacation and they got weton splash mountain. They got really dirty after that and when I washed them, all the dye rinsed out. :(
They are still comfy though! :)

Ok, so I totally love my Toms, but after wearing them for well over a month, the right shoe "clicks" when I walk!! The left one clicked for about a week but then stopped, and now the right one is doing it.

Anyone else have this happen???

If it continues I think I'll take them back to Nordstrom and see if they'll change them out for a different pair (will they?). I hate shoes that make noise!

I need a new pair of Tom's, just the basic canvas ones. last year I had the grey and I loved them, but, would like a different color this year. I would prefer something that goes with everything, I wear mainly jeans, khakis and some lighter colored cargo pants in warmer weather. So, other than black or grey, what would be a good 'looks good with everything" color?

Yes! And I hated them at first, thought they looked like cheap shoes, but, My stepdaughter convinced me to get a pair and I love them! I wear my grey ones around the house now, so, have to buy a going out pair.

i was thinking of going with a blue.

Those in that eBay link look fishy. First off, there is no place to get "cheap" TOMS so they would be losing a lot of money. Also, I've never seen that print before so if they are custom making them, they'd be losing even more money. It makes me sick that there are fakes out there. They are for CHARITY! I also saw some knock offs in the window at Payless. I would always buy direct from TOMS or a local authorized seller to make sure that money is going exactly where it's supposed to.

On another note, I am in LOVE with the new pink grosgrain ribbon TOMS. I'm waiting to see if they pop up in stores since the shipping is pretty steep.

Edit: I just read the item description on those and they are listed with a leather insole but it says they are Vegan. The Vegan ones do not have a leather insole. Also, it says they are "one-of-a-kind" but there are tons up for auction.

I own a pair of the portsmouth cordones (yellow and blue plaid) and I like to wear them without the laces. The cordones are more expensive than the classic ones ($69 vs. $44) but I actually got them as a birthday gift. They were bought for me at a half size up (6.5 instead of my usual size 6). They are a little bit loose and I usually wear them with socks (I feel weird wearing a lot of shoes without either socks or nylons). I am disappointed though because most of my socks are white and the tan-brownish color from the inside sole transfers color on the bottom of my socks every time I wear it. Has anyone else noticed this or am I the only one that wears them with socks? But I also wore them around Disneyland all day and was surprised at how comfortable they were.
