My TOMS ballets have arrived and I'm loving them to pieces. I'm normally a size 7; I ordered size 6.5 and they fit like a dream...perhaps still a smidge too big but they definitely do not run a full size too big - just 1/2 size.

The quality is way better than I expected given how cheaply the canvas classics are made (although that doesn't keep me from continuing to buy the classics). They're certainly not the quality of TB Revas or Vera Wangs. I would consider the TOMS ballet flats a one-two season shoe. Nonetheless, they're adorable!

The multi-color fabric pair is adorable, and now I see that NM is pre-selling the TOMS wedges in the same fabric. I HAVE to have those as well.

In the past I know my mom has handwashed my canvas shoes without soaking them (Keds, not Toms) with woolite suds and a cloth, but I'm not sure how effective that would be for these shoes.

Seconded..I have washed all of mine in the washer and let them air dry like that but they definitely faded. The regular canvas ones are fine, but the printed ones are definitely less bright as when I first got them.

Good to know! I am in love with the Alessandra (natural linen with black toe) but they are on backorder til April!! The light pink linen is super cute as well. I am just worried that the lighter colors will get dirty easily.

also I am super psyched because I was told that once a style is sold out online they don't get it back but one that I want *is* restocked!!! it's the herringbone with teal bottom. except it won't let me check out!!!!! also I spied that Nords has a herringbone fleece which I thought was interesting and would be super comfy!!! but would probably smell eventually if you didn't wear them with socks :(

I've been pondering TOMS for a while now, but it seems that each time I find a color/print that I want, they are gone or sold out in my size before I can get them. I REALLY would like a black velvet skull pair, but they are gone (as far as I can tell). I wear an 8.5 or 9, but have never tried them on, so I don't know which. In the black velvet, I'd take either!

Looking back through this thread, I love the leopard print and the metallic stripe... *sigh* none of the ones out now look as good as past prints!

But I am considering the blue with white skulls in mens at NM. Has anyone ordered TOMS in men's instead, and how do the sizes align? Some shoes run a full two sizes larger in kids/mens, while other brands seem to only run 1.5 sizes up. I don't know whether I should order a 7 or 8. If the 8's would fit, I could get the black skull pair...

Love Toms! I have classics in the red swirl, which are really comfy and I get compliments on the pattern almost every time I wear them; the black velvet wedges, which are really cute and for wedges v. comfortable. And I just ordered the flats in blue suede!

i think only several of them (the all black ones and the NM exclusives) are leather. :smile1: guess they're charging more cause they simply can. :p

The construction is still more costly than the classics construction, even for the styles that aren't leather. They have the cushioning/ slight heel etc. like the classics don't have. And they're gorgeous! It's true about the size, a half size down is perfect.
