Thanks everyone!

As I learned from @NLVOEWITHLV, it's treated leather, so it's permanently that beautiful honey colour.

It's looking a bit dry, so I'll just have to moisturize it. Any suggestions of the best product?

I'll go get the quote just for kicks, I have to go buy a new lock for it anyway.

Also, the dipping down from the tabs, will that straighten out after stuffing it more, or adding an organizer inside?
I like leather lube!

Cadillac boot and shoe care. Haven't heard a single bad comment about this as yet. I've used it too and it's pretty good.

Yes keep her stuffed while stored and an organizer should help her keep her shape when in use. That's how I like mine!

I know that the Speedy is meant to be slouchy but I prefer it not to be!

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions!

I will pick up some conditioner and see how it goes.

There was one larger stain in the lining, and a few small ones, and several pen marks, but after 2 hrs yesterday, I was able to get them all out! A few pen marks that are much lighter today. Will attack them with magic eraser today. I used so much 99% alcohol for the pen, that I melted off some of my nail polish, haha. I should have taken some 'before' pictures

Now debating, shall I get my baby heat stamped with my initials? I DEFINITELY don't plan on selling it.

Call ahead and ask if the stamp discontinued items. My local LV won't because it can't be readily replaced. They even make excuses why they won't stamp new bags and pretty much limit the heat stamps to flat SLG's.

How much was the quote?
Around 76$ cad for the tab that holds the lock. I didn't ask about anything else. I'm glad you guys told me the leather was originally a treated leather for the perfect color. The repairs manager was commenting on how the bag had such an even beautiful patina, ha ha.

I had only asked about that tab, since Im worried that having a lock on it will stretch it more. She told me not to worry. The leather old enough, it won't change anymore.

Overall, happy they didn't push me into anything, just to make money.

I don't know why it disappoints me when I know more about the product than the person working there.

I know!! To me, knowing the history of something, or obscure details, is a fine example of a) knowledgeable someone is, b) the quality of training a company provides, which leads to c) how much I can trust the words and suggestions of an SA.
