My dh has a very expensive habit. Hunting rifles, scopes, binoculars, camo clothing, etc etc. You get the picture. I "try" to get all my packages to come in USPS. That way I can pick them up at the post office, chunk them in the back of the suburban, go get them either at night or early in the morning. I'll sometimes put them in the garage and bring them in through the laundry room. Sometimes I'll bring them in and put them in my "ebay" stack. I know he isn't stupid - - - but I try not to say "oh honey, look at my new baby". He knows of my crazy obsession (with purses and the purse boards, LOL) and usually just rolls his eyes at me. I NEVER tell him what I spend. Sometimes I'll say "oh look what I bought from so-in-so off the purse boards for $40!" Those of course have to be the smaller bags. My LV Epi Noe is probably my most expensive purse right now. I don't even think he knows its a Louis. So he's never questioned it. hehe

Another trick is to only buy cheaper purses when he's with you...and then he will get to thinking that that is what some of the other ones cost around...
One more idea (I know, a SAD one) is to claim that its a fake... ; P

Thank goodness I never have to hide anything. I usually just tell my dh when I'm going to get something. When I get home, he'll usually ask to see the item (s) and if it is clothing or bags, he wants me to "model" it for him. If he doesn't like something, he'll say so. Sometimes he'll ask how much I paid for the items but most of the time, he doesn't. He's learn to put up with me after 18 years:love: He's a true keeper:girlsigh:

In my case, it's my mom who I have to hide new bags from. I usually hide my new bags at my best friend's house or in my trunk. Then I wait until mom goes out of the house or after she goes to sleep, then I'll sneak it back into the house. A few times, I even got my dad and brother to help me sneak stuff in. I know... it's really sad... :push:

As for my bf, I'm just lucky that he only recognizes the LV monogram bags and nothing else. So as long as I bring a LV damier or epi bag to his house, it's all a-ok. He doesn't ask about the price but he does make comments like "is that a new bag?" then shake his head in disbelief.

The only brand that is safe for me to walk freely with without any questioning from family members and friends is Balenciaga moto bags. I love that brand! No one recognizes that I'm walking around with a $1K bag and they never ask about the bag except that it looks funky and it fits my style. Speaking of that, I think I should start stocking up on more B-bags. :jammin:
