one would think lol...they never even mentioned the cleaning solution (which, I needed at the time, badly!) either time I went. I mean, I assumed they had it, but, without offering, I assumed you could take your stuff there to have it cleaned either free of charge, or, for some small fee, but, Tiffanys is slightly too far for me to do that when it's needed. Luckily, my uncle is a wonderful engraver and works with a jewler from time to time, so, he helped me out with everything I needed :) You would think though that if they're not going to throw something in with your purchase, they would ask you if you wanted to purchase it.

I think they should have a clear standard, like you spend over X and you get X. I find this very annoying because my boyfriend has bought me lots of sterling and some white gold w/diamonds there and hasn't gotten anything.

The cloth works WONDERS. I couldn't believe how shiny (just like new!!) it made my open heart ring and necklace after I used it to wipe down my stuff.

No specific instructions, just rub it in circular motions on your item and it'll be pretty. You'll even see the tarnish thing on the cloth.

Whatever you do though, DONT wash the cloth!

They never offered it to me either and I bought the necklace and bracelet! I wear my bracelet every single day...it needs to be polished...kind of dull. My necklace I hardly wear and it's shiny as can be (a year and a half old).
Will the polishing cloth wipe out some small surface scratches?
(I have some bigger dings in the back of the heart...so probably nothing I can do about that).

When my bf bought my necklace, they didn't even recommend anything. They just told him to take it back for polishing after around 6 months and it's not free!! I agree when you spend a lot of money on strerling silver, shouldn't they give you the cloth for free??

Thanks congrats and tips! :smile1:

I was surprised that they charged $5 for the cloth but I thought the silver cost alot so $5 to keep it polished is worth it . I also did the hand engraving (which was included in my gift) which took 1 month for $25 :amazed:
