They're a business just like anyone else. As the economy changes, the prices of goods and services also change. Do you expect to pay the same price for a haircut in 2008 as you did in 2003? I don't! Everyone is increasing prices. LV, Hermes, Chanel, etc. I don't mind the price increases as long as they are in line with inflation. Just my 2 cents.

She liked the Atlas cube necklace. We saw it in New York in October, it was 150 (that's what my daughter said it was). I looked it up on the website, and it's now 225. She doesn't like the Atlas cube lock charm, it's the necklace where the cube hangs by a corner.

Darn I just got tiffany's for christmas.. I was hoping for v-day but if my boyfriend goes in to the store and see that the prices have gone up from when he was in there at christmas.. I can kiss my tiffany's goodbye... maybe he'll get me an handbag instead...

My husband bought me this back in July and it was $225. This is the largest size, I believe there are 2 smaller sizes available. I don't think they show the smaller ones on the website, but I did see them in the boutique. This one has an 18" chain and is the largest cube that hangs by the corner. Btw, this cube is fairly heavy. If she's petite you may want to go with a shorter chain and the lighter pendant.

Oh, really? They only had one on the website, and they don't give dimensions (which would be extremely helpful). I thought that was a ridiculously high increase, so maybe it's a completely different necklace. Thanks for much for the info!

You know, I've noticed since they revised their website they don't list all the variations of all the jewelry. I've seen lots of things in the store that don't show up on the website anywhere. It bugs me too that they don't give dimensions. I do love that atlas necklace, though. Just so you know, the pendant does not come off the chain. A lot of their pendants are that way. If you're going to be ordering off the website I would ask lots of questions to be sure you get what you want.

I am actually very disappointed with their never-ending price increases. I was looking at a platinum band a few months ago which was CDN $1,550. I was saving up money to be able to buy 2 rings but unfortunately, it kept on going up and up. The same ring went up after a couple of months$1,990, then after a few weeks it was $2,100. After checking yesterday, now it's priced a whopping $2,400!

I understand that the value of the Canadian dollar has gone down compared to US dollar and other factors affecting prices of these goods. But up by $850 or 35%? Isn't that kinda being greedy already?

Oh well, what to do? I guess just look for something else and pass up on a Tiffany ring. :confused1:
