Is it super sparkly and stunning in person?! Tell me all about it! :D

There's another member on PF that received it as an anniversary present and it looks beautiful on her! I haven't had a chance to try it on yet as the closest Tiffany store is appx. 150 miles away from me (in Cincinnati), but I want to so badly. When I have the chain on my bean necklace lengthened I think I'm going to take a look. I was rather put off the last time I went into a TS (in Las Vegas and was treated horribly by the SA there) so I've been putting off going back into one.

Very sparkly and I almost bought it. Let us know what you do.

Ok, so I've been looking at some bezel set five stone rings as well (there aren't many... like at all). I came across this one which the DBF loves and the price tag for what it is is better too, compared to the Circlet. It is really pretty. But I'm apprehensive about him purchasing a ring sight unseen; it's just too tempting to not consider it because it is really pretty, has all the requirements--low profile, bezel, etc.-- but I don't know if it speaks to me. I want it to but I don't think it does. :/

What do you all think?
I would get it in polished white gold, like in the last picture on the second link.

My sister says the Circlet is the only one she can see me with but I'm struggling with the price that DBF would pay for what it is. I've looked up rings inspired by the circlet and they just don't do it for me so that's not an option.

I apologize in advance because I realize I'm being really silly about all this!

Here it is:

Although I think that the ring from etsy is nice as well, I feel that you like the circlet more.

You really should get what you LOVE - an engagement ring is no "fashion ring" that you can take off as soon as you get tired of it.

Think of it as a lifelong investment - the circlet will surely be worth it! :)

Thank you for your reply! I think what it is, is that I like them both for really separate reasons. The etsy one has a very casual, easy to wear, and modern feel to it whereas the Circlet has an heirloom, vintage and easy elegance qualities to it like I've said before. I guess the issue is which statement do I want the ring to make.:confused1:

Get the one you imagine wearing at 80!
I personally love the style of the Circlet. My husband's cousins wife in NZ has one thats looks almost the same and I drooled over it when I saw it. I don't believe it's a Tiffany...?! I know be chose it himself & it's just beautiful.

I'm absolutely obsessed with the Circlet. I would love to receive it as an ering one day. I think that three stone rings have a really nice meaning, and it's true what you and everyone else have been saying - it looks vintage, while still maintaining a bit of a modern edge with the subtle channels. I know you said you would like to bring out the milgrain in the Circlet....have you seen this one?

You might be able to get the same effect as Gimmethebag has, with a bit of a knife edge just letting the ering shine, while still having a bit of sparkle from the milgrain on the edge.

Let us know what you decide!

Thank you for the suggestion! I have seen that one but I know that the knife-edge will be uncomfortable for me to wear. I can hardly stand normal rings much less ones that are more thick in between the fingers. I do like the look of them though! :(

I still need to go try it on, I've been putting it off because I don't want the DBF to feel pressured into getting anything immediately.
The wait to do so has been killing me though!

I stumbled across this one today on Brian Gavin Diamonds:

I think if it could be modified, which I'm sure it could be, to be a five or seven stone with a higher tcw-- around .75tcw or 1.00tcw I think that I would be in love with the price, design, and quality (for the price). While I do love the Circlet, and trust me I do, I just really am having a hard time wrapping my brain around the price for it (the tcw, name mark-up, etc) lately and that aspect is making me fall out of love with it a bit. If that makes any sort of sense. It's like the more I look at it, the more I don't want to love it. This is exactly why I started looking long before we plan to--to insure that it is the ring that I will want forever and not talk myself into or out of.

If you don't mind getting a preloved one, there is great deals on ebay and craiglist. I just happened to see a preloved triple circlet with BIN of $2,850. Just a thought.

I've seen versions of the Circlet-inspired rings and it's just not the same. I wouldn't mind getting a pre-loved one but I would be afraid that it wasn't authentic and that terrifies me. I also don't want it to be a hassle for him in case inauthencity of it were to arise.

The DBF likes the BGD bezel one that I posted and this one, with diamonds instead of sapphires:

The marquise cuts are lovely and remind me of my mom and her ring (seven stone marquise pyramid ring) while still not being my mother's ring.
The more I think about it the more I know that these rings (the BGD designs) would be better suited for my lifestyle and comfort level of rings (very minimal designs and size). I know it may be a sin to admit it on here but as far as rings go I wouldn't be able to handle the big blingy rings; they are TDF on everyone else but I know that it would just sit in my jewelry box. Also, the more I think about it the more I wonder if I even want an engagement ring and a wedding band or if I just want one for both.
I'm starting to think that the Circlet may be too big. HAHA I never thought I'd say that but it's starting to look that way.
