So, as some of you know I really would like a low-profile engagement ring and was considering stacking rings primarily until I ran across this-- I have seen it a thousand times before and it never really spoke to me but now I just can't seem to shake the idea of it. It seems perfect-- bezel set, classic, timeless, subtly elegant and bling-y, has an heirloom and vintage quality to it, the price is perfect; but I have no idea what I'd pair with it for a wedding band. I wouldn't want anything to upstage it because it is rather subtle for an e-ring but anything too plain would just be lost next to it.

I would love to hear your ideas. :) Especially because you all have a better eye than me and aren't biased :)
I know I'm probably being really silly about this but these two rings (e-ring/wb) will probably be the only rings I'll ever own or wear because of having horses, dogs, possibly kids some day, etc and having lots of nice rings isn't really all that practical for the lifestyle that I do have and plan on having in the future.

Here's the ring:

Would anything go with it and still keep the integrity of the circlet ring?

Thanks, girls! I look forward to hearing all of your opinions/responses! :)

If this ring is what suits your lifestyle and you like it, I'd say go for it. I think it's a very classic ring. If you got a ring which doesn't suit your lifestyle, you'll be unhappy and will regret your purchase eventually.

Thanks! Yeah, I just know that if SO got me a 6prong or anything besides a low-profile bezel basically that I'd never wear it because it'd rub and get on my nerves, possibly get lost from me taking it off so much, etc. I think he's just thrilled that he isn't going to have to shell out the cash for a 2ct.+ ring on his budget at the moment haha

This is the one that the SO really likes which I really like too but don't LOVE :/

I think that you should get what you really LOVE and not just like. "Like" is not enough for an e-ring. After all, you are the one who is going to wear it forever.

I would definitely not choose a high-setting ring if you are sure that you are not going to wear it as much as you should.

This is true; I definitely would rarely wear a higher set ring. Thanks!

Ihave always thought that this would be a great ering!! For wb.... I see a thin diamond band against it. Gl deciding and congrats
Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one! I was thinking either a thin milgrain (to match the milgrain on the circlet) half eternity like this one which I really like:

or this one, which I adore, but wonder if it would be too plain:

I like the tiffany circlet ring a lot, especially the 3 stone ring you linked... and I'm not one that likes 3 stone rings at all. It has an elegant, vintage-y feel to it.

Cartier makes a similar ring called the Cartier d'Amour with a low profile and slightly different bezel from side view. The cartier site won't let me link, sorry.

I'd have to see them irl and side by side, but at the moment, I prefer the Circlet.

I really love this ring. Like you said it has a timelessness/heirloom/vintage feeling to it. I think it would be perfect for your lifestyle and needs. Besides the price point is quite reasonable. I think it is much prettier than than the ring your so likes :)

I also think the blue Nile eternity band would go great with it! Or you might want a half eternity if you want something even more low maintenance. You got great taste :)

I have a three stone and I like wearing it with a plain platinum band most days. I have the classic Tiffany round brilliant three stone and the knife edge wedding band. I sometimes add a channel set half-eternity band to the mix.

I like the platinum band you posted. This isn't to deter you, but when I was engaged people kept thinking my e-ring was my wedding band. I guess because a three stone with good finger coverage looks more like a very thick band. One I added a metal band, it made it more clear that now I'm married. Though having strangers ask you about wedding plans in the grocery checkout lane isn't always a good thing!

I just googled it; it's absolutely beautiful but I think I prefer the circlet too if only for the vintage-y feel and the price point. :) But if I got that ring I definitely would not be disappointed. hahah

The BN one that I linked is a half eternity actually :)
And I've tried the Anne Sportun one on (the one that SO likes) and it is really pretty on and surprisingly it actually reads engagement ring on but I don't think it's "me". I really want something timeless and that ring isn't a timeless ring IMHO; like I would love it now but I don't think I'd love it 20+ years from now. I honestly think he just likes it because it's different and not a typical e-ring not because he actually prefers it if that makes any sense. And he really wants to get me the one that I love, just kind of a downer to know that he prefers the other one at the moment.

Could you post pictures of it? It sounds beautiful, I would love to see it!
And honestly, I could care less about whether it reads e-ring or wb to other people more than I want the two rings to look cohesive as a set. Although I have slightly bigger fingers (size 7) so there's quite a bit of finger coverage I don't think it'll look like a wb; and you're right, less people asking you about the wedding could be a major bonus! haha :)

I think the circlet ring is gorgeous, and I've seen women wearing very similar styles as engagement rings. If you really love it, I'm sure you could get a good jeweler to make you a custom wedding band that would follow the curves of the circlet ring, so that the band would fit right up against it. There's someone on here (can't remember who, but I think I saw it in the thread everyone posts their rings/sets in) that has a set with the same style of ring (different brand I believe), and their wedding band has small diamonds and is shaped to follow the lines of the engagement ring.

I do like the look of the snugly fit band but I'm sure at times I would probably only wear the wedding band for whatever reason-- sending it back to Tiffany's to be cleaned, etc. (The closest Tiffany store is 150 miles away from me in Cincinnati and then the one in Columbus) and the curved band would look strange by itself IMHO.

I agree, you will definitely love this ring. It suits your lifestyle, it's beautiful and you can imagine wearing it 20+ years from now - you couldn't wish for more! :)

:) Thanks! I have heard negative feedback from a lot of my friends that seem to think I should, by default, want this ginormous sticky-uppy ring and that's just not me--personality wise or lifestyle wise--so it's really nice to validate that I'm making the right decision by not giving in to that and by staying true to what I want. :)

People will always find something "bad". But in the end, you have to wear your ring all the time, not your friends. Enjoy the fact that your ring will be different! :) If you chose a more traditional e-ring, you will probably be dissatisfied and always think about the other ring which would have made you happier.
