Tiffany Soleste or Cartier Love?

I would have to definitely say go with the studs. I wear mine 24/7 sometimes for weeks or when I want something easy and secure. No matter what I am wearing I ALWAYS wear earrings and my go to are my studs. I have gorgeous other earrings from VCA, Tiffany, Ippolita (my latest addiction, pm me if you want to know how to get new for 50% off plus no shipping or tax and mine have always come boxed in the Ippolita box and I get a pouch to boot), Kiki McDonough and Annoushka which I rotate but my studs definitely get the most cost per wear ;-)

I'd suggest a narrow love band as a way to buy into the Cartier brand. Maybe buy it for your right ring finger now and then wear it on the middle later. And grab a pair of screwback studs, designer of your choice, if you plan to wear them for long stretches.

If you have $$$ left over, depending on the earrings' tcw, put that in savings for a nice gold bangle, Cartier Love or not :)

I vote for studs because you can 'set and forget' to an extent with studs, and know that you'll always look fab. you need never worry about accidentally poking the baby, having to take off for baby bath etc etc.
Also, a little shock for me with a child was that it became dangerous to wear my favourite dangly earrings! (little hands are very grabby). So that was when I moved to stud earrings, I have not worn dangly earrings since having my baby.
Also, you can wear the studs in hospital - or even giving birth! :)

If you are not confident sleeping in studs / wearing 24/7, but are attracted to the idea of 'live-in jewellery', you could consider either going for an upgradeable pair on the smaller side (to upgrade with baby number two!) or trying out first with a pair of cubics to find your perfect size.

As you don't have diamond studs, that's what I'd do.

As for wearing jewellery around baby, I wore my Love bracelet and 4ct engagement ring continuously without any snags or scratches. I actually only take them off for work (I'm a surgeon).

I vote for studs. I have a 3ctw pair that I take off once a week to clean and then put right back in. I think 2ctw looks nice too. I have lots of hair so thought a little bigger would work best for me. Plus you can get a little lesser quality diamond for your ear, a food jeweler will help you with that
