Who wouldnt like tiffany over pandora? Theres a reason why it is a lot more expensive than pandora. In my town, pandora is luxury enough. I like it that their silver is so substantial though. The more charms you put the heavier it gets. If the same style is sold at tiffany it would be worth more than it is being sold in pandora. If you get something in tiffany equivalent to the price range of pandora, I bet that the silver is thinner and lighter.

Hmmm... I like my Pandora bracelet more than my Tiffany bracelet.
But I wear the same Tiffany earrings every day.
Seeing how unlucky I was with Tiffany charms, I'm not sure I would go for Tiffany beads if they existed.

Craft stores sell them in packs of 50 for a few $.

I have worked in jewellery stores for years, all jewellery is kept in those little bags, from 2$ trinkets to 100.000$ rings. Oxidation occurs if metal comes in contact with Oxygen/Air. By sealing silver off it drastically reduces this. Those Tiffany pouches let too much air in, so they don't work well. If you wear silver, the acid of your skin continuously wears off any oxidation, that's why they silver doesn't get that black if worn continuously.

I also work in jewelry and here's my opinion I think you are both right in different ways the reason your company may keep the Pandora charms in the small bag is because I'd the black paper in there that helps not tarnish as bad but imo don't seal up silver it needs air some peoples skin and oils affect silver mostly Pandora charms are not a high polish silver so they tarnish a little more for that antique feel Tiffiny is high polish both can be cleaned with silver cloth avoid wearing in shower at night in in closed box and never dipped in the silver cleaner hope that helped

I work at a jewellery store also, I can tell you that yes, Pandora ships their silver in those little plastic baggies, but we immediately take them out, as do all Pandora retailers. I've seen Pandora silver kept in plastic baggies for a long time and it has turned completely black. Tiffany's silver I have no experience with, perhaps their alloys are different and therefore the silver responds differently...

As for skin acidity wearing off oxidization, that's not necessarily true across the board as everyone's chemical composition is slightly different - some people cannot even wear silver as it tarnishes extremely quickly on them which is due to the chemical composition of their skin. But I do find that wearing silver does keep it looking newer than letting it sit in a box.

I think I would disagree with that. Out of all my silver and I have had silver since I was 16 my pandora tarnish the quickest and the worst. I think their items are meant to tarnish a bit though because of the details in the charms? I have even kept it in their anti tarnish pouch and it turned black. I left my Tiffany piece out and it was totally fine. This is interesting to learn about the alloys. I wonder if there is any way to find out for sure. You guys have been very helpful. Thanks!

I've found that my Pandora silver tarnishes faster than any Tiffany piece I've ever had, and as I have an overabundance of Tiffany tarnish-resistant pouches, I store some of my Pandora pieces in Tiffany pouches.... so it's not as if the jewelry is stored in different environments. In fact, my Pandora silver tarnishes faster than any other silver I've ever owned! It makes me crazy, and also happy that many of my Pandora pieces are gold. I bought the firefly charm within the last three months, and already the silver is tarnished. It's so annoying, especially as I dislike the look of tarnished silver. I like silver bright and sparkling (and love few metals as much as bright, sparkling silver- I just don't love polishing it/having it polished).

My tiffany pieces can go months of near constant use and not tarnish.

I do not own much Pandora but many Tiffany pieces. I think the quality of Tiffany is incredible and I've had my jewelry for many years and polished it with my Tiffany silver polishing glove & the lotion. The Tiffany silver cleans up really well and shines like new. My Tiffany jewelry doesn't have issues with tarnishing often I can go a long time without having to polish it.

I don't have much Tiffany but have lots of Pandora. I have 3 bracelet (one is normal and two are oxidized) and have lots of rings and charms (all of them two tone or silver) and some necklaces. My rings, charms and normal bracelet is still shining, I am using them a lot and since 4 years. But I was really careful, I always cleaned them and never used, when I was sleeping or training or taking a shower and store them always in a special jewelry box.

And I have to say, you shouldn't use silver polishes, because it is damaging the Pandora silver. You should put it in warm water with dish soap(just one drop) and wait 10 minutes(can wait more), later wash with water and dry it with a cloth(I am using my sunglasses' cloth. You can buy it from optical stores.)

You can use eraser(that the children are using) but after a while it is not working anymore and it is just taking away all the polish of it and they are tarnishing faster. Maybe you can use it when haven't so much time. Just taking an eraser with you and going out and cleaning the worst parts of the jewelry.

Hope this helps to Pandora owners [emoji5]️ I can't guarantee, that works on Tiffany silver. I never tried. I don't use my Tiffany silvers anymore.
