please don't keep it in plastic bags. it will actually speed up oxidization if you leave it in there long enough. the fact of the matter is that silver will oxidize and there is really nothing you can do to avoid it, so you should be prepared to clean and polish silver to keep it looking new.

Craft stores sell them in packs of 50 for a few $.

I have worked in jewellery stores for years, all jewellery is kept in those little bags, from 2$ trinkets to 100.000$ rings. Oxidation occurs if metal comes in contact with Oxygen/Air. By sealing silver off it drastically reduces this. Those Tiffany pouches let too much air in, so they don't work well. If you wear silver, the acid of your skin continuously wears off any oxidation, that's why they silver doesn't get that black if worn continuously.

I work at a jewellery store also, I can tell you that yes, Pandora ships their silver in those little plastic baggies, but we immediately take them out, as do all Pandora retailers. I've seen Pandora silver kept in plastic baggies for a long time and it has turned completely black. Tiffany's silver I have no experience with, perhaps their alloys are different and therefore the silver responds differently...

As for skin acidity wearing off oxidization, that's not necessarily true across the board as everyone's chemical composition is slightly different - some people cannot even wear silver as it tarnishes extremely quickly on them which is due to the chemical composition of their skin. But I do find that wearing silver does keep it looking newer than letting it sit in a box.

I have found that they are both similar for me, although I agree that Tiffany silver has a higher shine to it. My charm bracelet is beautiful and has been kept in the pouch on and off since Christmas; my Pandora is kept in my mum's jewellery box and while it doesn't tarnish too much, it does not have that beautiful shine to it. Both are 925 sterling, but I wonder if Pandora bracelets are meant to have that "worn" look to them, like a vintage look. Just speculating though.

For Pandora, I put it in the hard case with cushion that comes with it. It doesn't darken but I have noticed that the "shine" of the bracelet & charms were gone overtime even after the cleaning was made. Do you have the same experience? I cannot recall if it is has shine from the beginning when I purchased it long time ago LOL!

For Tiffany, I don't have it yet but I already placed my order online. I would probably store it with the small pouch bag that comes with it. Or should I store it differently?

Ive noticed Pandora charms dont really shine too much but i think thats how they designed their products. I like how they look. Ive had mine for a half a year now and never cleaned them. Just keep them in the paded box that the bracelet came with.

Yes, they lose their shine very fast, or at least mine have, but I think that's the look they're going for. Could be wrong though!

I keep my Tiffany pieces in the little bags inside the box and have not had an issue so far. I recommend it. [emoji4]

I am excited to get my Tiffany necklace & earrings. :) but still I love my pandora. Every pandora charm that I have is very memorable.

I have a friend who is a jeweler and has her own line of silver jewelry, she was telling me that Tiffany jewelry appears to be shinier because they polish and buff the silver down to micron level smoothness whereas Pandora does not.
As for oxidation, each person's collection will change color differently depending on their unique skin's oils and other factors. I have a friend that cannot wear Tiffany jewelry because the pieces will start to tarnish within minutes of her touching them. I've seen it happen and it's almost like magic. She held my olive branch ring in her hand and it tarnish to completely black within an hour. If I hadn't seen it in person I would have thought she was stretching the truth.

Who wouldnt like tiffany over pandora? Theres a reason why it is a lot more expensive than pandora. In my town, pandora is luxury enough. I like it that their silver is so substantial though. The more charms you put the heavier it gets. If the same style is sold at tiffany it would be worth more than it is being sold in pandora. If you get something in tiffany equivalent to the price range of pandora, I bet that the silver is thinner and lighter.
