Tiffany Price Went Up Today!!!

Can't believe that Tiffany raised its price on most of its pieces today! I was looking at the 18K white golf metro heart diamond necklace, and it went up by $120 today, it's crazy~!!!

I noticed this yesterday, alot of their silver stuff went up too. everything at least 15 dollars if not more. :: the 120 increase is huge though!! sheesh

CAD prices went up yesterday too. 30 dollars for both my silver pendant and 60 for my silver and diamond ring. some tiffany silver keys remained the same but the more popular heart ones went up.

UGH!!! the gold earrings i wanted went up to $605 now... i think they used to be $545


edit: omg! i got a frank gehry 14k white gold ring with diamonds 2 years ago and dbf bought it for $1800... now it's $2550!!!

Hmm... the suspected price increase was why I got my grail earrings last december, but they only went up $50. I got them at $850 and they are now $900. Not too bad, but I still feel like I saved $50.

I bought an Elsa Peretti gold piece I'd been eyeing last Monday and I'm glad I did! But yeah, the price increases this time were ridiculous. Not 2-3%, but more like 10-45% almost entirely across the board! For the price they're charging for gold you could easily go to Cartier, which, in most people's opinion, has a more valuable brand name.

I like affordable, well-made jewelry. I probably won't buy from Tiffany's now except for once a year, in new silver designs. Since I'm getting into gold now, and Cartier seems to offer the same price per ounce for gold as Tiffany's, I'd rather go with the Cartier pieces, which are serial numbered and come with certificates of authentification.

In 2005 the Atlas ring cost a mere $175 and in 2006 the titanium 1837 debuted at $275. Now they are $275 and $400, respectively. Who are they kidding with these monstrous price tags?

I usually buy something every month but no thanks, Tiffany. I love your designs, but your round of price increases has turned me off. Possibly for years.
