Actually,,, people like you (contessa, nyc_candy) don't need to have "gaps" in between the rings and can enjoy a matchy-matchy look!

For example, a three-diamond ring doesn't look on my hand AT ALL!!! Becuase it's symmetric. The symmetrical design shows up my irregular-shaped, bony knuckles!!! To cover up my big knuckles, I need a sharper design and "tricks" like "gaps." I have to pursue the efortlessness with efforts.:smile1:

I am explaining this to assure you that you can go for a halo look! Contessa!!! Any time!! So, don't go now!:D

This post has me cracking me up! I have wrinkly knuckles (as evidenced in my ering photos), I have compared my wrinkly knuckles to those of a shar-pei, thinner bands get lost in my wrinkliness. Hence, why I chose to go for matchy, matchy. I think it distracts the person from my shar-pei-ish knuckles!!

P.S. Einseine - you have have great hands! Aside from wrinkly knuckles, I have short fingers too! The stubbiness abounds on my hands!! :p

Contessa, nyc-cady:
I have a complex about my hands! They are very rugged...:nogood:
If I could grow & paint my nails, my hands would look much nicer! I might be able to wear a halo or a 3-stone ring!
But, I need very short nails to play the piano.:shucks:

I really really want a sandwich now too!!! I was thinking of one, but now I really want to. Maybe an upcoming anniversary present :)

Megs what type of wedding band do you wear? Regardless, you can't beat diamond sandwiches......gorgeous and ZERO calories!

Piano player you say?? I used to play......my daughter plays now as does my son. We have a vintage piano gifted to me as a young girl by a good friend of the family who was a well-known jazz singer/pianist.

Definitely need short nails to play piano........I need them for my profession as well (healthcare)

So Einseine.......your so-called rugged hands......that 2 ct + diamond ring of yours eases the ruggedness does it??!!!! ;)

My fingers look less wrinkly when I have acrylic nails on, but that is not very often. I have to have short nails too as I'm always on a computer and I've started my own massage therapy practice (it's my new adventure, I left the accounting world behind!), I don't think my clients want nail dug into their backs!!

I used to play the piano too! I haven't played in years and the closest thing I have to a piano is my 6 year old's play keyboard!

Yes. Actually I feel better with 2ct+ than 1ct+ when I look at my hand.:D But, that may be just me. People do not notice the size as far as it sparkles.:smile1:

My grand piano is a new one. I want to have a vintage one, too, but it is not easy to find a reliable vintage piano with the owner history. You are lucky!:p

nyc_cady, you'll soon learn to remember how to play the piano if you have once played!! Play it with your son!

You sounds entrepreneurial! Good luck on your new adventure!:p

My daughter has an amazing ear.....she can sit down and bang out "Hello Dolly" on the keys w/o thinking twice! How does she do that??!

Contessa, it means your DD is a perfect-pitch person and might be musically gifted!!!:happydance:

I think so too!!!!

My husband's grandmother could do that! She'd sit down at the piano and belt out a few tunes....have everyone singing, drinking, and dancing!!! She had a zest for life! Bless her!

Back to topic..........which of the 3 bands do you think would work BEST with my e-ring:
