Lucida?

I have a platinum plain Lucida 2 mm band that I got in either late 2003/early 2004 for less than $300 (so I like to watch to compare to the current price). I'm actually vacationing in Hawaii now and didn't bring it because I was worried that I'd lose it in the ocean but if you still don't have a picture in about two weeks I can provide one then. I think it is a little more squared looking than the one above.

Looks close!

Sure! I am not in a rush. :) That would be an expensive replacement!!!

It would be expensive! My husband got the 6 mm platinum band for $1,000 and now it is $2,250. At the time we thought they were so expensive but now I feel like we got a good deal. ;) They are very comfortable and we still love them.

I think you should stick with 2mm band like the Lucida since your diamond channel set band is also 2mm. If you are unhappy with the Tiffany SA, definitely buy online. I bought my channel band online and am very pleased that I don't have to deal with them.

In fact I went to Tiffany to see the 2 carats diamonds with specific specs in mind. The SA was very nice and friendly at first until she spent about an hour with me and I was still undecided. Seriously, I'm not the type who buy on the first visit especially with this price tag, but perhaps she thought she made a sale and was disappointed.

I got an email from a lovely SA from the Waikaloa store, and she did inform me that the height on the 2mm might be an issue, as it's a difference from the Channel Set. She said the 3mm Lucida band thickness is even with the 2mm Channel but the 2mm Lucida Band is not as thick so that might be bothersome to me and I really need to see that before I settle on it. I really appreciated her saying that!!!

That was really nice of her. I think you would like the Lucida as a casual day to day wedding band. I've been wearing mine alone a lot lately, it seems silly to wear my diamond when I'm just working home alone.

I don't even wear a ring at all lately. But at home I never do. I just like to bang around.

I do need to see what I think of this next to my channel set apparently. The size 4 was not at all helpful. I am and was a little concerned about the depth.

I met the FANTASTIC SA from Waikaloa Tiffany's today who brought in the 2mm Lucida for me and tried it on... And we both agree its too low for my set. The curve is perfect but the height is too low. My DH was in agreement when he saw it too. He was puzzled at first bec he didn't see the difference immediately but then said it looked like a mistake.

They had a great selection of DBTY and solstice rings in that shop.

Riina, if you see this, you were amazing!
