Whaaaat? That's crazy! I tried my replacement wedding band on multiple times at Tiffany before finally deciding on it!! Granted they always had my size in stock when I was there. (I was comparing it against some other bands at local jewelry stores - but ended up going with the Tiffany band.) I can't believe he wanted to make you buy it, and return it if it didn't work? Just because they didn't have your size readily available. Crazy!

And on a side note, if this is the band you have your heart set on... go for it. I replaced my original wedding band (a plain platinum band) with a curved Elsa Peretti band that I fell in LOVE with, and have never looked back! I love how it looks with my e-ring! So I would get it before the price increase if this is what makes your heart flutter when you see it.

You could always order online and then just return through them if it doesn't work out? (If you know your size?) To not have to deal with your store... I've never had bad service at T&Co. LV, yes... T&Co - never. That amazes me.

I have repeatedly horrible service at this local T&Co. I wish we had a second location so we had some "competition" between the two so they would maybe try harder. In other cities it's not been much of an issue. Just this store.

I'm not worried as much about the price increase bec we are focusing on the house this year so we are not budgeting for bling at all, and Ill have to set cash aside for this for a little while and or sell something I don't wear to offset it, bec there's literally nothing budgeted for it and savings doesn't get touched for jewelry.

You'll be in Hawaii soon ame? I've never been to the Big Island before and I've lived in HI all my life. lol Maybe next year, one of DH's BFFs is getting married. Maui only has one T&Co, too. We used to have 2.. until the Whaler's village one shut down. It was a small store, I wonder what made it worth it to close the doors on that one.

My SA is a sweetheart, super polite & friendly without losing that Tiffany Professional feel... she makes sure to send thank yous and christmas cards even though I only make small purchases maybe once or twice a year. I hope she's there forever.

If anyone wants the name of a nice SA on Maui, PM me and I'll share!

Oh man I liked the Whalers store!

I will be in Kona this summer, we didn't spend a lot of time there so I'm excited to see more of the Big Island! The Wailoloa store is newer I believe but I figure it is small. I never did get an email back from them.

The Big Island is beautiful and you'll have a lot of fun there :). Like Junkenpo, I've also lived in HI all my life, on Oahu. And, as Junkenpo offered for Maui shoppers, I can also PM anyone a great SA, albeit for the Waikiki store. She's awesome and so professional, a gem, really.

I have a Tiffany 2mm band but I can't recall if its a lucida. Do you still want to see?
Sure!

I wish we were going to either island this time. We spent a DAY on the Big Island total in the past. DH has been to the Big Island a few times in the past with his family, but when we came we only spent a day. This time we're going there for the entire trip but no time on other islands at all. We did a lot that time though, so hopefully we get to spend more time in Volcanoes park, Hilo (um...I wanna go to Maui Taco and that's the only location on this island...how sad am i...) and I wanna go up on Mauna Kea. We are in a private home and have a car, so we can do whatever whenever. But I might forgo my tattoo and get the band instead haha. I wanted the tattoo though.

AME...are you going to wear this band with your e-ring? Did I miss something...what happened to your lovely Metro (?) diamond band? Will this band be used as a spacer?
I loved your e-ring with the Metro!

Oh man, we used to have a Maui Tacos 5 minutes from my house here on Oahu and we would go there all the time and they closed it :(. Sad. That was the only one on this island, I think. Loved their salsa bar.

So much to love about Big Island! Two Ladies Kitchen in Hilo for awesome mochi and Big Island Candies, as just a small tip of the iceberg...BIC had a pop up in Ala Moana for Xmas which was convenient. Notice all I'm talking about is food, lol? But seriously, volcanoes is def a sight to see and I'll never forget the first time I saw Puuhonua. I think I was like 7 and it was awesome for me even then after hearing about the history of it.

Ive never had a Metro. I have a Channel set, but the micropave (the one I think you are remembering) was a Martin Flyer that went back to its maker last year at this time bec it was of poor workmanship.

This plain band will, in theory, replace the current plain band I wear between the Channel and the E-ring and will hopefully actually GO with them both, vs being super rounded in profile, and not "go" as well. It matched my old solitaire that is long long long gone, and doesn't look as good in person with this set. I wear it as a spacer. I am hoping that the Lucida looks better to my eyes as a spacer.

well food is vitally important to me too lol I LOVE maui taco. We mustve eaten there and Hula Grill like 10 times. There are random franchise locations here on the mainland. DH has to go to Raleigh Durham for work sometimes and there's two there. I get SO JEALOUS when he gets to have it. If we were wealthy enough to do it, I'd so be a franchisee! I'd also be turned down bec I don't fit the "fit and healthy" profile they require. haha

Did not know MT was in Raleigh; and agree with you about franchising, hehe. So random but also liked that they used biodegradable utensils. Not many places here in HI do that, though I guess that may be up to the individual franchisee (?). I just liked that they cared enough to do it even if I raised the end cost.

Never tried the 2 mm Lucida but the 3 mm (which I assume is what I have), is super comfortable. You could even wear it just by itself and of course as a spacer, hopefully, assuming it looks right with your set--happy trying on, and shopping!

Ame, have you tried eweddingbands? They have tons of bands--round, flat, low dome, etc. and they list the thickness of each. If the Lucida band doesn't work, they might be an option for you? Their bands are supposedly die struck too, not cast.

Yep, they don't have any that match believe it or not. That's actually where I started last year! I bought several versions and none were a close enough match. I was bummed too bec I thought for sure that I found a winner on there, and die-struck was a big deal to me.
