I am confused about why you are choosing between 1.68 H VVS2 an 1.85 E VS1, as clearly the second one is bigger and higher quality than the first, just a matter of what you want to spend.

In general, my advice would be to go for the largest carat size in a color range you are comfortable with. I, personally, would go for G-H in color and VS2 clarity. I wouldn't spend money on clarity higher than VS2, as that doesn't make as much of a difference as color.

What about 2.0 cts with G-H in color and VS2 clarity?

So it seems I have a larger budget than I originally thought so its between 1.68 H VVS2 for 31,000 or a 1.85 E VS1 for 49,700. What do you ladies think?
