This is likely true. I could see them pivoting as it further entrenches Tiffany in that Cartier/VCA/Bvlgari playing field. While Tiffany is clearly at that level, having the smaller silver pieces does also give the brand a lower entry point for people and therefore can affect its “prestige”.Hahaha. Yes this is true. There are also many dupes, and “inspired” pieces. Here in London I hardly see it at all. I think it looks classic yet very edgy.
I have read that since being taken over by LMWH Tiffany’s reducing the production of silver and focusing more on more expensive metals/diamonds…
For me personally, I’ve always preferred Tiffany to other jewelry brands and I love their silver pieces. Quite honestly, I prefer my Tiffany Victoria Vine pieces to my Cartier Love pieces—I find they are more exquisite. And while I will never take off my Love bangle, I am finding it to be too common now (and as you mentioned, soooo many knock offs/dupes). To each their own—these are just my feelings.
While I understand that most high jewelry companies do not even play in the silver market, Tiffany silver is iconic and I hope LVMH doesn’t lose sight of this while trying to elevate Tiffany further up the luxury jewelry hierarchy.
