Thoughts on the New Signature Linings: Yay or Nay

A percentage of hard core Coach enthusiasts/collectors (here on tpf) may dislike the lining, but the vast majority of buyers probably don't have strong feelings about the inside of the bag. I'd be surprised if it had a real impact on sales.

Most of the Coach bags I see are siggy, so I suspect around here the siggy lining will increase sales.

I have one older bag with a siggy lining and I don't mind it. It's a nice golden lining that blends with the camel color of the bag.

If I liked everything else about the bag, I probably wouldn't care, but I do prefer low contrast patterns. My linings are still nice so I wonder with more wear if a patterned lining would hide wear better.

I'm not fond of the black & white patterned lining in my RM bag, though. I would have preferred something more subtle.

Here is a picture for those who have not seen an example . It would not necessarily be a deal breaker for me if I LOVED a bag. But I would be a bit bummed to learn a bag I loved had this lining instead of hoping for something fun and vibrant. Just surprised the new designer is going old school with this

I have an old giant gold Courtney with signature that I just love. I like having my gold wallet and accessories inside against the signature print, so I think I'll like the new fall bag insides just fine. I haven't liked any new coach bags in quite a while so I hope there will be some outsides of the bags I'll finally like again.
It's funny that the signature print was used in the past on authentic coach bags and now that's what people associate with fakes. Maybe in 2021 on TPF we'll be talking about the awful fake looking purple and pale blue satin linings of the fall preview.

I don't like the signature lining. Too busy and not very elegant. I particularly would dislike it if it were at all visible when the bag is closed.

I left Coach when it was all Signature and i really don't think the Siggy lining is going to make me want the bag.
