I haven't seen it in real life but the first time I saw photos of this, I thought they were fakes... that probably isn't helpful at all, but there was just something about it that gave off a fake bag vibe.

I know what you mean. For me, it’s the stitching that makes it look fake. I’m noticing that one of the quilts looks like it’s puckered on the gray one that’s posted. Such a shame as I love this gray.

Just me maybe, but the quality looks atrocious. For $3300, that’s another premium designer’s flagship bag, and probably perfectly constructed. I don’t know why Chanel does this. Without the CC, I mean, really?

To add, I’ve tried to get a seasonal here and there, but honestly the quality really only kicks up in the higher priced bags. And even then, it can be spotty. A Chanel bag of impeccable quality is drop dead gorgeous, but the rest are so marginal that it always left me unhappy with my purchases.

I saw this particular bag, and as someone stated above, it has a very “fake” look to it.

I saw this bag in Navy (also a cream color available) yesterday in store... it looks much better in person. The display models always take a beating unfortunately. The SA was roughly scratching the bag surface to prove a point that the leather is durable.

I saw this bag yesterday in caviar leather, ivory with silver hardware. I loved it ! It’s the first Chanel bag that I actually really liked and thought looked good on me (I’m just not a fan of rectangular bags). I tried it on in the small, and would wear it either crossbody, or doubling the strap on my shoulder (I’m 5’2”). I absolutely love it in ivory but am concerned about color transfer. That said, how serious is the color transfer issue? This will be my first - and probably only - Chanel bag. I do love it, so any info is appreciated.

I just bought this bag in navy...I was going back and forth between grey and navy. I ended up going with navy because of color transfer reasons...if you plan on wearing it xbody with jeans, the lighter colors can be a mess when it comes to transfer...I would suggest going with a darker color....if you plan on wearing it with the chain doubled, then I wouldn’t stress too much about transfer.

Glad you bought it! Did you get the small or medium? I think the bag looks great. For me, I wanted a big open pouch inside so the sections didn’t work for me but I think it’s a great bag. Congratulations!

I brought this bag in navy from boutique costa mesa yesterday and waiting for it to be ship. At first I didn't like the look of it , but since I've been wanting a "casual" CF look bag for a while, so I gave it a try, as I try it I find the structure of the bag is very functional, the interval of the bag has 3 compartments which I think is very similar to the LV Pochette Metis.....IMO, the caviar leather feels very durable, the chain can be shoulder and crossbody wear that is great, also the bag is made in France which is rare for a seasonal piece. Overall I think is a "worth it" purchase. Thank you for letting me share!

I agree, I actually left Chanel thinking "is that their version of the LV Pochette Metis?". My personal pro for the Chanel is the turn lock... I really don't like the LV lock on the Pochette M.

I completely agree. I loved this bag when I saw it in person. They were flying off the shelves in nyc yesterday as well. I love that it’s caviar leather too. Makes it so much more durable. Congrats on your bag:)

They only had the medium size, which is what I got. I don’t know how the small compares, but the medium didn’t feel that big at all. When I saw pics before hand, I thought the medium was going to be too big for me...but it ended up being just right.

May I ask a few questions? The dimensions of the bag? The strap drop?
It looks like a good subway bag.
