Has anyone been here or heard things about this clinic?
Everything online looks pretty dandy. They've got a 5 star rating (although only 12 reviews compared to other major clinics), has a great website, good customer service, situated in Gangnam, etc. But I'd like to know about some real experiences anyone can share or if any native Koreans have much knowledge about this clinic?
Will be much appreciated!
I and another member of my family did a full face lift and result was VERY dissapointing! . AFTER the procedure, good luck if you can speak to the doctor!
We had a paid Zoom consultation with Dr. Cha before the surgery, during which he confidently told us we would “look 10 years younger.” That simply did not happen. If you're considering
minor treatments, this clinic might be acceptable. But for something as significant and invasive as a
full facelift, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. A facelift is not a minor procedure — it's costly, risky, and not something you can (or should) redo easily. When we complained that we DO NOT see any difference, we were given the same scripted line others have quoted:
“Call us and we will do what is necessary.”
Well, we did Multiple times. After the procedure,
we were never able to consult directly with Dr. Cha, despite sending numerous WhatsApp messages expressing our dissatisfaction. There was
no follow-up, no explanation, and no accountability. This kind of silence from a surgeon after a major procedure is not only unprofessional — it’s unacceptable.
We did have a few follow-up conversations with staff members Isabel and Anna. We showed them our before-and-after photos and clearly explained that
neither of us saw any visible difference. Isabel told us to wait six months. Although I was skeptical, I waited. After the six-month mark, we raised our concerns again. The only response — relayed secondhand through Isabel — was:
“Dr. Cha sees the change.” no explanation was ever given about
where or
what this supposed change was. There was NO VISIBLE difference in our faces. . Those who didn’t know we had undergone procedures were shocked to learn we’d had full facelifts — they hadn’t noticed a thing. Those who did know simply said,
“You look the same.” we both had the exact same experience.
When we brought this up, the clinic gave us a generic response:
“Results vary depending on factors like weight gain or lifestyle changes.” But neither of us had gained weight or changed our routines. It felt like yet another way to
dismiss and deflect rather than take responsibility. On top of all this, the experience raised serious concerns around
hygiene and transparency:
- The recovery room was dirty, with visible blood stains and dust on the beds and blankets. I waited there while my family member went in first, and I immediately questioned the clinic’s hygiene — but by then, it was too late to back out.
- We were quoted different prices for the exact same procedure, simply because we live in different countries. They clearly didn’t realize we were of the same family
- The staff actively discouraged patients from speaking to one another. When we met someone from our home country while returning to have stitches removed, we naturally spoke in our native language. Isabel quickly ushered us out. Why? Likely to prevent us from comparing prices or results — or both.
